Is Global Warming Causing Oil Pipeline Spills?
July 08, 2011 07:35 PM EDTIs global warming the cause behind the Yellowstone oil spill? Possibly. And scientists are getting worried that the problem is only just beginning.
Unusual river flooding causes more severe erosion around river banks, exposing buried objects at a faster than expected rate. Rocks and boulders knocked loose by the flooding can bash against pipelines and knock holes in them, causing massive spills. It’s just this kind of incident that investigators suspect caused the Yellowstone oil spill.
Most fifth graders know that the reason why mountain streams have big rocks, is because they flood every spring. However, obtaining a fifth grade education is not desirable for environmental reporters.
Having a sixth grade education disqualifies one to be a science reporter! That is obvious by what they write!

Even at flood stage, the largest particles moving in the flow are unlikely to exceed coarse sand.
There’s a higher probability Earth Guardians were involved
The Yellowstone River is becoming acidified from too much CO2. No doubt the acid ate through the pipeline and caused the spill. This problem can easily be solved by buying carbon credits from Al Gore.
Everyday new research papers are out and new stories are told about “Global Warming”. I realize that while talking about global warming we tend to avoid discussing few major causes of Global Warming, I happened to watch this documentary “Meat The Truth” in online film festival “Green Unplugged” this documentary made me aware of few other things about global Warming which I never thought would be contributing so much towards it
