Good thing it doesn’t go along the West Side Highway.. they’d need flippers and snorkels.. Oh, wait.. the “global warming” has already disappeared:

So, aside from areas CLOSE to the water, how’s the rest of the NYC area doing? Any one there who could give a report?

Reason I ask: the Phoenix metro area flood from the Salt River in 1980 ( ref Steve’s ‘Great Western Floods of 1980 post ) were no doubt bad NEAR the Salt River, and it did take every bridge crossing except 2 down (and at one point, even the I-10 bridge was temporarily closed, leaving only the Mill Ave bridge); yet for the areas AWAY from rivers or lowland washes, you wouldn’t even know there was a problem; YET my relatives in the L.A. area were asking me if the ENTIRE CITY was flooded because of the news reports they saw.

So I might think that a lot of the NYC area (except close to the ocean . . . ) might be fine . . . ( . .anyone in the area, please correct me if I am wrong . .)
