Prohibition, drugs and immigration laws, the tax code have all been such smashing successes!

I guarantee you….if we banned the real problems……movie theatres, malls, post office, schools and churches…..these things would never happen again

  3. Larry Fields says:

Firearms Prohibitionists in Chicago, the White House, and elsewhere do not understand the concept of data. There are two rational ways to evaluate the successes or failures of draconian gun control legislation and of Second-Amendment friendly legislation.

First take snapshots of crime stats before and after the big changes in firearms laws in countries, states, counties, and cities. On the whole, does crime–especially violent crime go up or down? Or does it stay the same?

Second, look at crime stats for cities in Second-Amendment friendly states, like Vermont and New Hampshire, as compared with their demographically matched counterparts in strict gun control states, like Illinois.

But nooo, that would be too sensible. F Prohibitionists do not know that scary headlines are not the same thing as data. Either that, or they don’t want to know.

I wrote a long, boring how-to-think-in-rationally-about-the-issue article about this at Hubpages.

Actually, I think they would like to ban private ownership of cars, given half a chance…. .

Children are suffering from a hidden epidemic of child abuse and neglect. Every year 3.3 million reports of child abuse are made in the United States involving nearly 6 million children (a report can include multiple children). The United States has the worst record in the industrialized nation – losing five children every day due to abuse-related deaths. 1

    Let’s ban adults

Every day, about ten people die from unintentional drowning. Of these, two are children aged 14 or younger. Drowning ranks fifth among the leading causes of unintentional injury death in the United States.

This is really about tyranny vs liberty. The road to a Communist takeover of a country does not allow personal ownership of firearms.among other freedom killing objectives. Only the government will have guns, and they do not want any competition. The current government is on a fast track to stamp out the 2nd amendment as part of the nullification of the US Constitution.
