Aurora police Officer Justin Grizzle stood at the exit door to theater 9. A trail of blood ran along the concrete. A trail of people burst from the door toward him, their screams for help ringing in his ears. And behind him, in a patrol car, sat the man accused of causing the chaos.

Moments earlier, when Grizzle asked a handcuffed James Holmes whether there was anyone else with him, Holmes smiled.  “Like a smirk, Grizzle testified Monday at the first day of the preliminary hearing in the murder case against Holmes.

In the United States, defendants deserve the right to a fair trail. That’s what distinguishes us from certain other countries….

It’s funny how conservatives are so ready to abandon fundamental principles just to feed the media maw.

      Dave,

Yes, it is interesting how people, like the green Nazis, are willing to abandon fundamental principles by recommending prison, and even the death penalty, for “climate deniers” in what has now been revealed to be the fairytale of AGW. I love how the left is for free speech, as long as it is THEIR speech. Motto of the left:

Has the government followed the recommendations of such extremists? Of course not — nor could they, for there would be overwhelming protests by people across the political spectrum. Don’t be stupid.

    • David Appell – the guy who thinks that people who disagree with him are criminals – is a supporter of due process.

RE: defendants deserve the right to a fair trail

Says who? Not our government. None of the following people even got to reach the status of defendant

We’ll call Vicki Weaver a combatant, and then we can kill her on her porch. No status of defendant needed. No trial needed. Problem solved.
We’ll knowingly expose soldiers to lethal amounts of radiation. No trial needed. Problem solved.
We’ll knowingly cause blindness to veterans. No trial needed. Problem solved. (Tuskegee)
When we describe Richard Jewel, we will replace “police officer” with “Olympic Park bombing suspect” (Janet Reno), and turn Richard Jewel’s life into a living hell for years.
      Ditto for Stephen Hatfill.
Ditto for the Japanese Americans, Native Americans, African Americans.

…and millions more who were/are denied life liberty and property without due process of law.

David, have you been following the Zimmerman case?

    He he he…..

  3. Luke of the D says:

Mr. Appell, what are you talking about? I can’t decide what you are actually trying to say… do you not want him to have a fair trial? Or do you? If you do, then likely you want to see the evidence, yes? Which is what Mr. Goddard was saying… we don’t have all the evidence. So what are you trying to say? Do you think he should be set free? Or maybe made Secretary of Defense? Killed by drone? Killed by cop? What? I’m confused…

  4. Keitho says:

While Obama can just kill American folk on his say so that they are enemies of the state. No trial.
