America’s New Terrorist Threat – Plastic Bubble Guns And Peanut Butter

TSA and DHS have begun their crackdown on six year old girls with pink bubble guns, and travelers with peanut butter.

An Arizona man who was arrested at the behest of the TSA, following a wisecrack over a jar of peanut butter is suing the federal agency for $5 million. Frank Hannibal, 50, was detained and dragged from LaGuardia Airport recently by police after a run-in with TSA agents over the jar of gourmet sandwich spread. “The liquid oil that separated from the peanut butter had them baffled,” Hannibal told the New York Daily News.

I miss the golden age of flight. Stewardesses in miniskirts and go-go boots. Passengers who actually showered and put on nice clothes. Crews who treated you like royalty instead of potential terrorists.

I used to fly to backpacking destinations, and could throw my pack in the overhead with survival knives, ice axes and gas canisters. Now I cannot even use my GPS in flight. Put bars on the windows and be done with it.

They were so nice and friendly. Flying now is like being in boarding school without smiles and decent food.

I gave up the privilege of flying to preserve my 4th amendment rights.

I’m from Adelaide, South Australia, and it’s kind of a tradition when returning from Melbourne or Sydney to bring back Krispy Kreme doughnuts for our loved ones, as they don’t have stores here yet. I guess this tradition will soon be under threat.
