The roses finally died around around January 22nd in the DC area. It has actually been below normal since then, but almost no snow.
And here in my corner of Michigan November and December were quite warm (over 50 degrees) – in November the trees in my yard even bloomed again. It didn’t really feel like winter until mid-January – although at least we’re getting more snow than we did last winter.
And next week temperatures are forecast to e twenty degrees below normal

Since first bloom is proportional to temperature, this relationship can be plotted against TOBS adjustments to prove a dis-correlation
If flowers bloomed historically early, yet TOBS adjustments have significantly lowered historical temperature, then the TOBS adjustments have no basis.
