Antarctica has a record amount of ice this year, and has been above normal for almost 500 consecutive days. A perfect time for Huffington Post to declare the continent to be “without ice”

Goebbels would be proud of the fine work being done by his American proteges.

    “Antartica”? New discovery?

  2. Antartica. Probably a trendy little village in LA

  3. glenncz says:

this is stupidity training in action! but the scientists said so…

  4. NoAlarm says:

Try leaving comments about ice coverage with references on Huff Post. They get deleted within 24 hrs.

  5. kbray in california says:

Antartica, another Obama relative illegally living in public housing in the USA.

  6. mike Abbott says:

Is this post a joke or something? While their misspelling of Antarctica is laughable, nowhere in the video does the Huff Post declare that Antarctica is “WITHOUT ICE.” They are describing what the geography of Antarctica looks like below the ice. That’s the whole point of the story. “Antartica [sic] Without Ice” means Antarctica viewed without ice. This is obvious to anyone who watches the video.

    • They have been telling us that the ice sheet is going to disappear, and there it is! “ANTARCTICA WITHOUT ICE”

    • daviditron says:

I watched the video, what was obvious to me was the phrase “alarming warming in Antarctic” which is verifiably false. Additional garbage was how the melting of Antarctica would contribute “to 58 m of rising sea level”

And if the moon collided with the earth, we’d also be having a bad day.

      • gator69 says:

And if my aunt had a d*ck she would be my uncle.

      • I’m concerned about the possibility of North Korea nuking Washington. That would be a real catastrophe for the Communist Party.

      • Glacierman says:

Wonder what the reference they used to back up the statement about the Alarming Warming in Antarctica? Maybe they posted a question at RC and Steig sent them a picture of a red hot Antarctica from Steig 09 published in Nature. It was red and scary so it must be really hot down there. No followup research necessary.

      • Brad says:

        Gator? Holy Crap.

  7. tckev says:

I’m looking for real estate agents or brokers, or realtors that deals with Antarctica properties? Looks like all the hot property is down under.

    • miked1947 says:

I can sell you a nice 200 acre parcel with a great view of the sea shore! Price is right!
I also have available a great ocean front property, it will be after the ice melts. You could build a nice harbor. Contact me at icefraud(dot)com
      Sincerely, Eric Steig :)

  8. amicusbriefs says:

In other news, Mayor Bloomburger issued an edict mandating 1/2 scoop of ice only in sugary sodas due to the impending worldwide shortage.

  9. boo@drew.com says:

why even bother discussing the crap that is issued by Huff Post. They sold out years ago. Huffington is nothing more than a money whore who will do and say anything to further hear wealth and control.

Just ignore them. Who cares what they say. If you are concerned, then I suggest you end your career and leave your family to educate the zombified americanos that understand jack shit.

  10. petkov says:

In this thread: people who deliberately misinterpret what is being said. Congrats, who is the bigger liar here, The Huffton Post or you people?
No wonder Rivero linked to this.

    • No, you are a flaming idiot. The Huff Po propaganda piece was tied to claims that Antarctica is rapidly melting down. No one thinks Antarctica is currently without ice.

I can’t help it if you are terminally stupid and lacking any understanding of satire.

      • PeterB in Indianapolis says:

If being stupid were truly a terminal condition, it might be a good thing. I think you mean “endlessly” and not “terminally” though :)

  11. Drummer says:

In fact, it has a record of 500 days, ABOVE the normal amount of ice.

That means, it is COMPLETE covered in ice.

  12. aj says:

Goebbels? I think you meant Ilya Ehrenberg.
