We can’t say that this particular event is caused by CO2, but we expect events of this type to become more frequent as atmospheric CO2 increases.

-We can’t say that this particular gust of wind was caused by CO2, but we expect gusts of wind to increase as atmospheric CO2 increases.

-We can’t say that this particular teen pregnancy was caused by CO2, but we expect teen pregnancies to increase as atmospheric CO2 increases.

-We can’t say that this particular ice shelf crack was caused by CO2, but we expect ice shelf cracks to increase as atmospheric CO2 increases.

We can’t say that this particular hot day was caused by CO2, but we expect hot days to increase as atmospheric CO2 increases.

We can’t say that this particular tribal war was caused by CO2, but we expect tribal wars to increase as atmospheric CO2 increases.

We can’t say that this particular flood was caused by CO2, but we expect floods to increase as atmospheric CO2 increases.

We can’t say that this particular snowstorm was caused by CO2, but we expect snowstorms to increase as atmospheric CO2 increases.

To make it more interesting, you can also blame things on George W Bush.

    We can’t say Hurricane Katrina was caused by CO2, but we expect hurricanes to increase as George W. Bush’s policies cause atmospheric CO2 increases.

    We can’t say that this particular event is caused by the increasing Julian date, but we expect events of this type to become more frequent as the Julian date increases.

    This is not a brief as CO2, eleven letters instead of three, but is just as obscure to the general public and this blamee will never end unlike CO2 which one day will cease to cooperate. Think of it scientists, endless funding! ☺
