Adaptation Or Mitigation?

Today’s US Open men’s final was delayed again by an extreme weather event (a thunderstorm) no doubt caused by global warming. Rather than spending trillions of dollars to reduce CO2 emissions, they got out some vacuum cleaners and are now ready to play again.
