NASA’s Antic-arctica

NASA tells us that Antarctica is red hot.

They show a warming trend of about 0.05C / year with an error bar about 3 times higher than their claimed trend.

The team checked the satellite records against ground-based weather station data to inter-calibrate them and make the 26-year satellite record. The scientists estimate the level of uncertainty in the measurements is between 2-3 degrees Celsius.

In other words, Antarctica could actually be cooling, but someone just wanted a red map.

In fact, NASA used to show Antarctica cooling. Apparently someone didn’t like that blue colour so much.

Meanwhile back in the real world, UAH shows that Antarctica is cooling at a rate of almost 1C / century.

Woods Hole should buy the Penguins some mittens.
