California not only voted to kill jobs yesterday, but they also elected a governor who believes that putting people on welfare is the correct strategy.
The conventional viewpoint says we need a jobs program and we need to cut welfare. Just the opposite! We need more welfare and fewer jobs. Jobs for every American is doomed to failure because of modern automation and production.
Only problem is – the state is bankrupt. How do they pay for the welfare?
Maybe they could raise business taxes and drive the remaining employers out of the state.
