HadCrut shows 1998 as the warmest year. It has been the warmest year for the last 12 years. How is that out of date?
boils down to the way each handles missing weather data in the historical record.
If you don’t have data in the Arctic, then you don’t have data. Pretending that you do is just making stuff up. The GISS numbers are skewed by their large imaginary anomalies in the Arctic.
