Same Pattern As Last Winter

Last winter, the negative AO pushed cold air south across Europe, Russia and the US. We are seeing the same thing this winter, only much earlier and colder – due to La Niña.

    Piers says to expect double the snow projections in the next few days. It will be interesting to see if he is right.

    Nearly every meteorologists here in the DC area are saying below normal snowfall this winter due to LaNina. To me, the pattern looks very similar to last winter when we had record snowfall, only colder and earlier as you say.

    The jet stream is predicted to become the same as last year in the next few days the prevailing Atlantic winds will be going north into the arctic and back down on the UK .What effect will this have?
