UK Environmentalists Hope To Destroy The Entire Countryside By 2050

“over the next 8 years a third of our coal-fired capacity, two-thirds of our oil-fired capacity, and nearly three-quarters of our nuclear capacity will be closed down either through age or the impact of the European Large Combustion Plant Directive. Absent a massive and immediate programme of building new power stations, with concrete being poured in the next two years, we will be in serious danger of the lights going out.”,

  1. Mike Davis says:

At the rate proposed they should reach energy consumption standards of pre Roman times within the next 100 years. They will probably also reach the population extent of those times also.
International Bailouts can only go so far and it will only be a matter of time before we start seeing Ghost Countries. First we will probably see California become a Ghost State with only the homeless squatters remaining.

  2. Paul H says:

The political establishment in the UK has moved so far left that even the Tories are just a slightly pinker version of the socialists. This establishment includes not only political parties but also the media, judiciary, civil service and local govt (and of course our rulers in Brussels).

This is despite the fact that on the majority of issues public opinion is heavily weighted against the policies of that establishment.

    • Layne Blanchard says:

Maybe it’s time for a house cleaning…. the old fashioned way.

At least here in the USA we will get a first hand look at what this foolishness leads to.
