The cold is moving into SE Kansas as we speak. Had some tragic tornadoes in Arkansas and Missouri today.
Low tonight in Fort Collins was changed to -11 F…what a nice way to ring in the new year! High today was 12 F…average is 41 F. Average low is +15 F. Won’t come close to the record low of -22 F though.
Finally making up for some of that warm weather we’ve had lately!

I just took the dogs for a walk. There is no way it is going down to -11 tonight, unless the humidity takes a huge drop. I doubt it will get below zero.
My widget says -8 F this morning. Weather.com, however, showed 1 F with last night’s low at -2 F. Don’t know which is right. Honestly, the widget usually reads high and I’ve suspected it might use the data from the middle of the CSU campus, so I don’t know what’s going on now. Oh wait, the CSU students are gone, aren’t they. 😉

I don’t see any readings below zero

I’ll have to figure out what reading my widget goes by. It was reading -3 F around 2am today and -8 F at 8am this morning.

It was cloudy all night. There is no way it got below zero.
It is the coldest it has been for the year here in Denver.
Going to get colder.
