  1. Mike Davis says:

Hey Dude! Ya know with the right drugs those little critters can have any color you want them to! Research has proven that no two researchers see exactly the same colors so they average the results of many experiments to determine the “Consensus” color for any specific region.
This ties in well with those wanting to live in harmony with nature and have “Spiritual” visions.

  2. Are Volcanoes and other natural causes included? it doesn’t look very scientific to me. just bull shit opinion from the anti-human wankers over at the Gurndain toilet paper.

has anyone noticed that to sell news papers, the hypocritical morons have to first order paper that is made from cutting down forests, and serious pollutants are used for the printing process and usually the paper is used to light home fires and burnt. the whole publishing & printing process is a very un-environmentally friendly & carbon intensive process.

    • Dave N says:

If they included natural sources the human component would be dwarfed. Asia-Pacific, the largest, would be more than 30 times smaller than natural. Imagine how tiny the pink would be. Doesn’t make it scary enough

    • Mike Davis says:

Doncha no the latest from the Head of the Royal Society says that humans emit seven to one more CO2 than Natural sources! It has to be true because it was on that “Unbiased” media provider BBC just last week!
We have it directly from the head of the well respected Royal Society that the IPCC was lying when they claimed the climate warming would be most evident with warmer winters and nature is responsible for over 90% of the CO2 in the system each year.
Leave it to a genetics researcher to tell us how little we know about the Climate!

      • Michael says:

Don’t get ethno-phobic about those pink wankers! Of course the BBC, CBC, The Guardian, The Globe, whoever, are unbiased and truthful. Didn’t they say so? Also the word you want is KNOW, not NO.

      • Mike Davis says:

I KNOW that I wanted to use NO! But it is one word DONCHANO, I accidentally placed a space in there.

      • Dave N says:

If the head of the Royal Society said that, they have too much CO2 in their brain.

Check out section 1 here, based on US DOE figures:

        http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/greenhouse_data.html

“Anthropogenic (man-made) CO2 additions comprise (11,880 / 370,484) or 3.207% of all greenhouse gas concentrations, (ignoring water vapor)”

Nature produces 30 times more CO2 than humans.

  3. Anything is possible says:

Wow! Total respect to the Guardian, I do believe they’ve figured it all out :

The USA and Europe emit evil CO2 that causes the globe to warm, while China emits good CO2 that causes the globe to cool.

As China’s good CO2 emissions increased to the point where they neutralised the evil CO2 emitted by the USA and Europe, the world stopped warming and started to cool.

Simple, elegant AND it fits in with real world observations.

    I rest my case (:-

    • Mike Davis says:

I thought those types of drugs were illegal without a prescription or a religious need!
Seeing how a judge in the UK determined AGW is a religion I guess Hallucinogenics is a proper method for a religious experience of seeing CO2 bubbles of pretty colors!
That might explain the claims by NCAR at UC Boulder! 😉

  4. Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

    CO2 is pollution. They’re geniuses.

Hey Guardian, lay off the politics for a while.

  5. Sundance says:

“While US emissions fell substantially in 2009, to levels not seen since 1995-96”

So why didn’t CO2 levels drop? We’ve been told that a US reduction in CO2 emissions was needed to lower CO2 back 350PPM worldwide, yet when we got them down to 1995 levels, we not only didn’t make a dent in CO2 levels, but they actually went up.

    • latitude says:

      damn good point

    • Michael says:

Croiky! They don’t know that. We have no way of measuring such a thing – and I’m assuming they’re talking human “contribution” (what the hell ever that is) and not even attempting volcanic. Let alone “geo-physical seepage”, where CO2 and methane just percolate up through cracks) there’s an unknown amount of that too.
Hoo Boy! What a tangled web we weave when…..

    • suyts says:

Because CO2 emissions, being a proxy for economic growth, were made up by the country across the other pond. Nice, big and blue.

      Boy, look at us go!

Michael is right, we don’t know how to measure such stuff.

  6. BioBob says:

yes, yes, we are all doomed !

and next we have the Dihydride Monoxide pollution which kills hundreds of thousands a year — right after the spanking !

    • Michael says:

Well, I never expected to get out alive anyway. But I do hope to get through April.
Check out thedieoff.com (used to be apocalypsenow.com . You’ll love it.

  7. ianpp says:

I get it,,,So china makes boy co2 (blue) and Europe makes girl co2 (pink), and then they get together and make the EVIL (red ) co2. The red co2 beats the crap out of the climate and gives a wedgie to the green co2, steals the brown co2’s girlfriend and then crashes yellow co2s car into a tree. Sorry if this doesn’t make any sence, my red co2’s are driving me crazy.

“While US emissions fell substantially in 2009, to levels not seen since 1995-96″

So why didn’t CO2 levels drop?

Because there are more people expelling CO2 from their lungs.
