  1. Tony Duncan says:

I like how the photo caption says “tens of thousands”.

There is a difference. The US is an actual democracy, whereas Egypt is a fake one. PArt of the reasoner the spread of fundamentalist islam is the lack of democracy, and islamic groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and Muslim brotherhood have been the most effective organizations at providing some of the social and economic needs of the people by following Islamic traditions of charity and community support.

    • Ahhh …. That explains why many Muslims in Europe live under Sharian Law. Because they appreciate democracy.

“Following Van Gogh’s murder, the Dutch Complaints Bureau for Discrimination on the Internet (MDI) received many complaints about websites praising the murder and making death threats against other people”

    • BioBob says:

      Wise up, Tony!

Islam was born from the sword, expanded by the sword, and lives by the sword. Combined with the basic tribal outlook of all arabs, it can only DIE BY THE SWORD.

Islamists caused by poverty ? nope
Islamist caused by tyrants/kleptocracy ? nope
Islamists caused by the tenets of their religion ? yep

  2. Andy Weiss says:

There can be no peace until the Israelis are driven into the sea! But since they have nuclear weapons, that is unlikely to happen

    • Then we can have peace – like in the rest of the Islamic world.

    • suyts says:

lol, Israel doesn’t have to use the threat of nukes. Let’s see, if memory serves, me correct, yes, Israel, kicked Egyptian, Syrian, Jordanian, PLO, and Lebanese ass without them. On several occasions. People need to get over the fact that the Jews went home and claimed their home.

  4. Michael says:

Million in Egypt, 10,000 in the US. Not “Government”–Mubarak. Weiss? Weiss? What’s Israel got to do with this? For that matter what’s the US got to do with it? Other than that Mubarak has been “our man maintaining peace” for 20 years. Like Saddam, like Noriega, like the Shah of Iran.

  5. peterhodges says:

you guys are total, absolute, unrepentant hypocrites on this stuff.

it’s okay for a bunch of european and american jews to kill christian, druze, and muslim arabs and steal their land. which was and is only accomplished with british and american arms and money.

it’s okay for egypt to be crushed under a brutal dictatorship. supported only by american arms and money.

you complain incessantly about government, but ignore the banks and corporations that control it. and while you complain about your government, everyone else just has to suck up their local tin pot despot placed on the throne…with your tax dollars!

i just don’t get it. you are getting the world you wish for…

If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever. h.g. wells

    • maguro says:

What are you saying, that the Jews should just go back to Germany and Poland where they came from? I think there was some reason they had to leave.

And how about all the Jews that the Arab nations expelled in 1947, where do they go?

      • peterhodges says:

        we can’t change history.

people can change what they are doing now however. if we want a world of perpetual war and ever-increasing totalitarianism, then keep doing what we are doing. because that is what we are getting.

and i believe in neither politics nor religion. they are both just scams to take your money and freedom.

    • BioBob says:

“it’s okay for a bunch of european and american jews to kill christian, druze, and muslim arabs and steal their land. which was and is only accomplished with british and american arms and money.”

Nope, it’s okay for a bunch of sabra, north african, middle eastern, asian, AND european and american jews to kill muslims who sneak-attack them for no reason simply because they exist. We call it self defense.

You need to bone up on your history, peter. Israel was born in fire and lives under fire, whether you believe it or not. Jews and Israel were there 2,000 years before the arabs were and likely will be after they are dust, if their 5000 year history is any indication.

      • Tony Duncan says:

        biobob,

unfortunately your conclusion that israel is attacked just because it exists is not based on any full real understanding of history.
israel’s actions especially recently have hardly anything to do with self defense, and more with consolidating power over people who have no recourse. israel annexed land that was not a part of it during a war that it started. this has never been accepted by the international community, including the United States. it continues to build settlements in those areas and assert military, and economic control in those areas by fiat. The US subsidizes the israeli military to the tune of billions of dollars, more than is spent on ACC in just the United States.
I have been to Israel and love it, as I love the amazing people there. Yet the racism against Arabs is rampant and totally unhinged, just as the racism against jews in the arab world is. The difference being that Isreal is rich and powerful and can do whatever it wants because the US will not practically oppose any action Israel takes.

      • BioBob says:

unfortunately tony, you are full of crap.

the facts are exceedingly clear – Israel reiterated declarations made in 1957 that any closure of the Straits would be considered an act of war, or justification for war.[20][21] Nasser declared the Straits closed to Israeli shipping on May 22–23. – thereby unilaterally declaring war. simple. easy. deadly. It’s a well known – any land taken in defensive war is yours. Too bad sucker. You lose.

You are just pissed cuz jews have guns and know how to use them. perhaps you will become a target. watch what you say, useful idiot; some jew may decide you must go for the greater good. pucker that nether exit.

      • peterhodges says:

Well that degenerated fast. Gotta love that Jewish supremacy hate porn, Bob. And you now, not every Jew is a rabid-spite-filled Zionist.

But here you go, I am sure this guy lives on the dole courtesy of the American taxpayer…

      • BioBob says:

LOL yeh, sux doesn’t it. Our taxes at work. All the anti-semites hate it but at least it isn’t wasted, hehe. it will help them as they take over the world, since all those zionists control the all the banks, hollywood, political parties, etc. etc. I spose they might make you eat bagels and wear a little hat. Beats the hell outta getting your head cut off or watching muslims blow up buddist shrines or something.

      • Tony Duncan says:

        Bob,

This is the most fun I have had here in awhile.
“any land taken in a defensive war is yours.”.
Sorry that I missed that day in international law class.

Obviously you are up in arms about the West stealing East Germany from the Russians, with those bogus calls for freedom. it was part of the Soviet Union and the people there had only the rights of soviet citizens.

and your debating skills are impeccable. You totally destroyed my arguments one by one.

I tremble at your next comment!

      • BioBob says:

you had an argument? i dint notice, sorry

      • Tony Duncan says:

        Bob,

Glad to see you didn’t disappoint.

Peter, have you ever met a” jews control the world conspirator” who was this happy about it before?”?

      • BioBob says:

lol – you really are clueless tony – but then i would expect that from anyone who actually believes absurd conspiracy theories.

hey – did you know Jesus was a jew, and everybody knew it ? bet that burns your butt !

      • peterhodges says:

funny thing is for all bob knows tony and i are both jewish.

ultimately, i just don’t buy any religion. so i don’t accept that god gave that land to jews, and that gives them the right to kill people and steal it from them, or that there is a ‘chosen people’. to me that is just absurd. if anything, god is in each of us and we ought to treat eachother accordingly.

corollary to what Andy says below about worshipping the same god, we should not allow men of religion to stand between us and God, or between us and eachother. religions of men are just a scams to take your money and freedom.

i also disagree with bob’s tenet of might makes right.

but then i was raised to not kill people and steal their shit.

      • maguro says:

The nerve of those Jew bastards, defending themselves! Outrageous.

      • suyts says:

Peter, where do you think Jews come from? Are you of the belief Jews didn’t exist in Palestine before 1948? If anyone was stolen from, the Jews had their land stolen from them. You worry about the Jews killing people? Pick up a history book from time to time. And, do you really think Mubarak is a U.S./U.K. puppet? Really? Was Sadat? Nasser? Get a grip! We didn’t put Mubarak there, the Egyptians did. Believe it or not, I’m so unhappy with our government, I don’t believe we should impose it upon other nations and peoples. I’ll leave it for them to chose. Are you of the belief that every group of people that accepts money from the U.S. are under U.S. control? You need to drop the Palestinians a note on that. We give them a large amount of money.

You said, “people can change what they are doing now however.”

So, what would you have the Israelis do? Now. You realize they offer Palestinians full citizenship? You realize there are Druze serving in the IDF? Strange.

BTW, I’m not too keen on the bankers involvement in the government anymore than you are. Given the opportunity, I dismember the Fed in a second, and every imbecile that voted for the bank bailouts should be banned from any elected office. Sadly, we’re not allowed to test for mental capacity before allowing people to vote, anymore.

OK everyone, I’ve booked a hotel in Lisbon for next weekend. The conference is titled “Let’s not beat each other up over events in Egypt when we should all be enjoying the collapse of AGW.”

Tony, I have heard the same thing you did. Yet when disaster strikes beyond the view of the TV camera, those “charitable” organizations are not to be found. Indeed, their record of charity is very poor, regardless of the teachings of the koran. However, their record of barbarity is easily seen and documented.

So I ask a question. Is their popularity from charity? Or simply the sword being mightier than the flesh? It is easier to “go along” than to stand your ground. So many just looking to survive go along.

    • Tony Duncan says:

      Phil,

I am not sure why you are saying that ” disaster strikes beyond the view of the TV camera”. In my experience the media almost never covers any positive actions from Hamas, Hezbollah or The Muslim Brotherhood. I know that Hamas and Hezbollah have spent lots of money and resources to rebuild Southern lebanon and the Gaza Strip, and provide free or cheap public services that actually help people in their daily lives (not so much Hamas after their takeover of Gaza). This is a major reason that they have been popular. Certainly their unfailing opposition to Israel and willingness to fight against israel has increased their popularity among peep who have only experienced concession and defeat from their governments opposition to Isreal.
I have been to many Muslim countries and my family lived in Pakistan. The vast majority of muslims have absolutely no interest in doing anything by the sword. Certainly the number of muslims who are willing to resort to violence against the west has increased by orders of magnitude, but I see that more as the result of western actions and corruption in their governments than because of the nature of their religion

      • It is all our fault. Global warming too.

      • Tony Duncan says:

        Steve,

of course it’s not all our fault, but the facts of history are there none the less. The US and Europe have been the dominant political, economic and military forces of the world for the last 5-600 years, and this was the period when the world became integrated. So the effects of our social, political, economic, and military policies have had the biggest impact ever. By the west I of course include the soviet sphere, Asian communism and fascism in the early 20th century. But one cannot just wish away the tens or hundreds millions killed and subjugated in the world due to the effects of modern civilization.
Bu that does not mean that people and cultures are not responsible for their actions, it just helps explain them so it is becomes possible to develop better approaches to solving the consequences all this ridiculous mess the world is in.

      • BioBob says:

Tony, as usual your viewpoint is clueless.

While it is true that the vast majority of any population prefers minding their own biz vs the alternative. most all muslims support their violent subset. As of this moment 16,751 deadly Islamist attacks, mostly on their fellow muslims, have been perpetrated by the follower of the religion of peace since 9/11.

You are aware that ALL of the presently predominantly muslim countries in the middle east and africa used to be predominantly Christian, and their populations forced to convert or die ? You know why there aren’t many Christians left in Bethlehem ? You know what Dar-al-Islam vs Dar-al-harb means or dhimmi ?

You and your ilk are called “useful idiots”. Look it up.

      • peterhodges says:

oh those evil muslims. you guys crack me up. well, i am not afraid of them. Pakistan, the most radical muslim state which supports the taliban and “al qaeda” has nuclear missiles for crying out loud. when there are iranian aircraft carriers patrolling our coasts and iraqi bases in mexico and canada i might start to worry though. πŸ˜‰

the egyptian uprising has nothing to do with religion anyways. did the east germans need religion to shake the stasi? the Czech, Polish, and Romanians…. where is your condemnation of their uprising against totalitarian regimes?

and i don’t think it is tony who is the useful idiot here. nearly everything you have said is simple hypocritical bigotry. for example which muslim said, “Caedite eos! Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius”?

people always fight, christian against christians and jews against jews. and it is always about money and power, religion is just a useful tool to con useful idiots into killing eachother and stealing their shit. when people wake up and realise this maybe we will stop killing eachother for someone else’s benefit.

      • Tony Duncan says:

        Bob,

I have argued with numerous people like you, and I have a fairly detailed knowledge of islamic and middle eastern history. I am actually interested in looking at ALL the facts, not just those from the likes of Robert Spencer, or Daniel Pipes.
I don’t know if you noticed where most of those 17,000 attacks occurred? Does the word Iraq mean anything to you? Do you know how many islamist attacks there were in Iraq before and after march 2003? Do you know how many attacks by US forces there have been on innocent Muslims in the middle east since October of 2001? Do you think there might be any kind of correlation there?
Do you know how many millions of non christians have been killed and enslaved by the followers of the religion of love?
Do you know how many non christians were forced to convert or die in Europe from the followers of the religions of love? Do you know why there aren’t many pagans left in Europe?
I doubt that most muslims support their violent subset. I imagine that a significant percentage are sympathetic to their arguments.
Do you know how many American christians believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible? Do you know how many believe that the Earth was magically created by God a few thousand years ago? Do you know how many don’t believe in evolutions. The fact that there are millions of Americans who hold insane ideas that have almost no relation to the actual teachings of their religion does not mean that the religion is the cause of the problem.

You are not an idiot. You are an ideologue who will only consider information that supports his beliefs.

      • Tony Duncan says:

        Steve,

Bio bob was using 2001 as the start date.

this is from 2007 Us State department
“Incidents in Iraq accounted for nearly half of the 14,000 attacks and about two-thirds of the more than 20,000 fatalities worldwide.”
I do not doubt that now after 8 years that the majority of attacks do not come from iraq. i looked at your site and it is the most biased ideological site I have seen regarding islam.
Saying the Spanish inquisition only killed maybe a couple of thousand thousand is laughable. Those were just those that were officially charged tried and convicted. many tens of thousands perished or had their lives ruined by what happened in just Spain. This site makes Spencer look like a moderate!

According to your logic. American colonists were responsible for hundreds or thousands of terrorists attacks on civilians and military forces attempting to keep the peace and preserve the stability of the crown colonies.

You are aware of quotes in the bible that call for murder slavery and all sorts of violence for the most bizarre offenses I assume.

      • BioBob says:

LOL – you mean like all the attacks before 2001 ? Iraq vs Iran ? gassing of innocents? hundreds of jews blown up while minding their own biz ?

You are the useful idiot, not me. I know all about muslims and my view is that the only good muslim is ……

The religion of peace is a disease.

  8. Andy Weiss says:

As Rodney King said, “Why can’t we all get along?” Killing and strife for thousands of years over small differences with respect to the proper method of worshipping the same God.

You would think that would be up to God to decide, not man. If He is merciful, you would think He would gladly accept all good deeds and all benevolent forms of worship. And also condemn all killing and cruelty in His name.
