Slow Week

I am going to be working in Connecticut this week and will be posting irregularly from my low carbon netbook. This will compensate for the plane obliterating the atmosphere on the flight out.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Apologies to the Penguins and Wolverines and Polar Bears and Walruses whos lives will be disrupted permanently by the airplane. I do have a bicycle lined up in Connecticut, but I understand that my exhaling CO2 will also kill Penguins – so not much consolation there.

Don’t drink any Coke, you don’t want to increase emissions anymore then you have to already

  2. Latitude says: forgot the seals

    I love seals……..

(have a great trip, stay out of trouble)

“This will compensate for the plane obliterating the atmosphere on the flight out.”

    …that was good for a chuckle. 🙂

  4. Ralph says:

Don’t forget to buy carbon credits for your trip!!!!

  5. What about the badgers?

Sorry to hear you’re going to be irregular.

  6. Lance says:

Hey Steve, don’t worry, the plants love ya! All that CO2 will be absorbed into big leavy plants bearing fruit and seeds for the next generation….naaa…. your destroying the planet…
Careful if you bike ride, new territory…

  7. Andy Weiss says:

Better watch that Mexican food. That is by far and away the leading cause of CO2 emissions.

  8. Airframe Engineer says:

I beg your pardon about my airplane! Aircraft are people too ya know.

  9. Bruce says:

Enjoy your borrowed treadly! Meanwhile in Brisbane the treadlies are revolting or something. From Tim Blair:

Brisbane now features many static art displays:

Almost three-quarters of the bicycles available for hire in Brisbane are sitting idle every day, yet the council is pushing ahead with plans to roll out 73 more bike stations …

Despite the cool response to the scheme, BCC Public and Active Transport chair Margaret de Wit said there was “a quiet revolution occurring”.

There’s nothing quieter than a stationary bicycle.

  10. JoeW says:

Sad thing is… You morons probably really do think “exhaling” and “soda” contribute to rising co2…. You duche bags ever hear of the carbon cycle?

    • Bruce says:

You’re right! When I cycle the only carbon I emit is when I breath out. Unless I’ve had Mexican food, which ultimately has 15 times the warming effect. Habaneros especially.

  11. Jim Cole says:

    Steve –

I have it on good authority that CO2 in beer only contributes to atmospheric warming if it is allowed to out-gas and go flat.

Beer ingested by humans fixes the CO2 internally – only to be occasionally liberated through minor eructions, flatulence, and burp-ifications.

Certified non-harmful to poley bears and similar lifeforms.

  12. Sparks says:

I’m happy to hear that you finally got your dream job as the head of the baby seal clubbers.
