With gas prices around $5-$6 this summer…
…the most effective anti-Obama campaign will be to simply play the video clip of him saying

“gas prices will necessarily go up”

    • Traitor in Chief says:

I think it is: “Energy prices will Necessarily SKYROCKET”

    • Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

I hope America at least has some change left in its pocket by time Obama is done being President.

That’s the change I’m hoping for.

  2. Andy Weiss says:

Thank you, President Obama, for the $70 fill up! Same goes for the pointy-heads that have been fighting energy development every step of the way for the past 40 years.

  3. mikegeo says:

How exactly did he get elected again? Economics, statesmanship, international affairs, good governance – what exactly? I see none of that, and now even the greenies aren’t happy with who they thought they had elevated to that office. Plus he’s starting to contradict himself on every issue. Where are the psychoanalysts?
Isn’t there some fine print somewhere in the elections act that says if no one gets what they thought they were getting, that it can be declared null and void? Why wait til next year?

The middle east is upset at him destabilizing some of their neighbors and if they can squeeze more juice as a reminder, they’re going to do it.
In the meantime, the US has lots of prospective hydrocarbon areas, but Obama has declared them off limits for exploration. In the meantime he’s promising a windwill in every home as an alternative.
Yikes, the lunatics are in charge of the asylum.

      ===================
Blacks were going to vote Democrat anyways. All they could do is give him some enthusiasm. It was the white guilt and/or the desire to right the past wrongs. Yeah Right – go listen to the New Black Panther Party, they feel compelled by the magnanimity.

      • Latitude says:

That and the fact that McCain made almost everyone blow lunch….

It was the perfect storm, white guilt and McCain.
Republicans had the lowest turnout in history because no one could stomach voting for McCain……..

      • Traitor in Chief says:

And where did the sudden financial support for McCain come from? Hmmmm. Sure wasn’t conservatives.

      • Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

I never knew what to believe about McCain. I never knew what he really believed.

The latest example, here is his opinion of Libyan rebels:

“They are my heroes,” McCain said of the rebels….

        http://weaselzippers.us/2011/04/22/mccains-libyan-heroes-videotaped-beheading-captured-soldier/

Some of the ‘rebels’ fought against American troops in Iraq.

      • Eric Barnes says:

McCain is the worst example of a politician. Does he even remember what his policy is on immigration? He’s changed it so many times he’s probably forgotten.

  4. Edward says:

One term President loses the plot!

Stops off-shore drilling then demands energy self sufficiency [shale gas – whisper it].

Don’t think he’d recognize himself in the mirror at the minute, suffering from episodes of cognitive dissonance.

    • DEEBEE says:

He will get re-elected, not because he deserves to due to his action (he does not), but by the dint of the same emotion that drove an inexperienced man to reach the presidency. That same emotion will drive the politics of low expectations. 2 years ago it was inexperience that was overlooked, 3 years hence it will be incompetency.

      • Chuck L says:

I do not think there is a chance he will get re-elected as long as gas prices stay high or go higher. There is an increasing probability that the high energy prices will torpedo the economy’s (weak) recovery. If he gets re-elected, it will be because the Republicans and their leadership are incompetent

No, I think he recognizes himself. I think it’s the American people that are now starting to see who he really is.

“A tree is known by its fruits.”

They didn’t believe the Joe the Plumber video. They didn’t believe his holding his first political career gathering at Bill Ayers house. They didn’t believe his attendance at Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years. It’s eye opening how vulnerable the average non-thinking person is.

  5. Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

No off shore drilling while he’s in office? Who gave him the permission to do that? Who gave him permission to send our military into Libya? He should be called The Unilateral President.

  6. pascvaks says:

I have noticed, since I started voting for President, etc., that the American People always get who and what they vote for. I’ve also noticed that we rarely know who and what we are really voting for. I think there’s a lesson in there somewhere but, for the life of me, I can’t think of what it is. (I always blame the “Press”, the “Media”. I figure they knew a heck of a lot about these bums before the election and they never said anything. And they wonder why I don’t read/watch/listen to them. I ain’t stupid;-)

    • DEEBEE says:

That last part about stupid, I disagree with. Not as a personal attack, but collectively we are obviously stupid, as long as we listen to other people make up our minds because we do not want to expend energy / time acquiring components to assist in thinking. Almost daily in conversation, I gget asked “who do I listen to”. A bit tongue in cheek I respond “me”. Invariably I get a roll of eyes or worse.

    • bubbagyro says:

Maybe you just weren’t paying attention. I knew exactly who he was. His record was right in front of us. It was all the people looking for a free lunch that voted for him. Some were duped. Stooges and dupes. More than half the people do not pay a cent in taxes. That must stop.

  7. Traitor in Chief says:

The moratorium on drilling is sabotage: Treason, plain and simple. It is intended to cause harm to the country. Obama didn’t attend a “church” for 20 years where the “pastor” routinely exclaimed: “God Damn America” for nothing. It’s his viewpoint. He hates America, and the people who funded him hate America.

  8. PJB says:

To study the situation and to follow the money, start with past history:

Oil pushes corn-based ethanol aside when automotive engines are re-jigged to run on gasoline.

Oil pushes out electricity for streetcars when utilities holding transportation systems (streetcars for public transport, trains etc.) are regulated and forced to sell their transportation to private interests that rip up tracks and destroy the streetcars.

Oil makes sure that hemp (and you know what) is restricted so that hemp oils and the derived plastics are not in competition with the petrochemical industry.

Government has been certain industries bitch for quite some time now. Obama is working for which people? Certainly not THE people (as in Abe’s Gettysburg address people) so who does this action benefit?

That is why you best open your wallets, once again.

  9. Al Gored says:

Every time I see Barry’s lips moving I know he’s lying.

  10. PJB says:

Every (and I mean EVERY) president since Johnson (at least) has promised or promoted, in word only, energy sufficiency/independence/abundance/innovation. They are all liars in so much as they have no hope…and that won’t change.

  11. Beano says:

Always good for a laugh (Watch out for “colourful language”)

    An energy independent future

  12. suyts says:

And then he goes to Brazil and tells them how much we look forward to buying their oil drilled off-shore. And MSM blithely goes along as if nothing ever happened. We’d be hard pressed to find a better example of media bias and the intentional tanking of the U.S. economy.
