February 2009, Obama Began Afghanistan Exit By Sending 30,000 More Troops

The press hated these wars under Bush, but now love them since Obama has expanded them all over the Middle East.

To hear Obama Bush tell it, what’s going on in Iraq — whatever it is — is fundamentally about progress, victory and peace. “We are implementing a strategy that will lead to victory in Iraq,” he said. “And a victory in Iraq will make this country more secure, and will help lay the foundation of peace for generations to come.”

It’s a little reminiscent of George Orwell’s 1984, where the three slogans of the ruling party were “War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength.”

  1. Blair Ivey says:

If memory serves, Bush was excoriated by Obama’s party and the press eight years ago for saying almost exactly the same thing. So now it’s OK? Will not someone, anyone, in the MSM stand up and point out the president’s absence of attire?

If one replaces ‘Ignorance’ with ‘Diversity’, the Orwellian statements would serve the Democratic party well.
