Agamemnon And The Ill Wind

http://www.theoi.com/Gallery/F6.1.html

Agamemnon had a climate problem several thousand years ago. He wanted to recover Helen from Troy, but the wind was blowing the wrong direction – for ten years.

Finally, he consulted the top rated climate scientist in Mycenae – who told him that fixing the climate would require sacrifice.  Agamemnon dutifully complied and sacrificed his daughter Iphigeneia.
.

That fixed the climate problem, and he was able to sail to Troy and eventually burn the city down. This gave him great satisfaction, but upon his return his wife Clytemnestra murdered him. She wasn’t real happy about his climate sacrifice.

And, we haven’t learned a thing from the Greeks. More evidence that alarmists do not study logic.

So that must be the IWB Troll in the picture there, about to be sacrificed to the Gods.

But wait. If you follow the link you find out that the sacrifice is about to be made to Artemis. And wiki provides this …

“As a young virgin, Artemis had interested many gods and men, but none of them successfully won her heart, except her hunting companion Orion, who was then accidentally killed either by the goddess herself or by Gaia.”

Somehow always, there is a tie-in to the green AGW suicide cult. Carry on boys. Please forgive the interruption. Proceed with your sacrifice ceremony.
