My family is from the Dulac area and I never knew there was any land south of there that had any kind of city. I am so glad I stumbled across this, just might help me in my family tree journey!!!!

HI, Love this article. I’m grew up just north of Last Island in Chauvin, LA. I’ve always heard stories about this and read things as well. I’ve never seen this article however. It appears that it’s not all here. How did you come about it? I would like to find the complete article as well as the author’s name. Thanks, –David P Lafont
