During the three year period from 1886 to 1888, the US was hit by 14 hurricanes. By contrast, it has now been almost three years since any hurricane hit the US. And it has been nineteen years since  a category five hurricane struck the US.

Global warming scoundrels claim that we are having “unprecedented extreme weather” in the US due to CO2.

  1. Dave N says:

They say “unprecedented” because they don’t recognise anything prior to 1988, or whichever year is convenient.

  2. Andy WeissDC says:

7 hurricanes in one season? Now that is global weirding! If we were to get even 4 in one year, we would be told that it’s UNPRECEDENTED based on records going back to 1950 and that Gaia was rebelling against all the abuse we have been giving her. Also that the effects of AGW are MUCH WORSE that we thought.
