In 873 work in the field had to be given up; agricultural labourers persisting in their work were struck down in a few minutes, so powerful was the sun. The past two days our record highs were from 1911. If I plot a line from the high July 22nd 1911 to the high yesterday, I get a 7F temperature decline! And a .7F per decade decline! Eeek! New ice age!!!

The rest of our record highs for the past few weeks have almost all been from 1934. I’m sorry, it’s getting what?
