Well, if you use the metric of “media hype” then this might well be the “storm of the century”.

I am in a bullshit storm and I don’t have an umbrella!

    • Mike Davis says:

Worse than that! It is a Chicken $hit storm.all hype that has been overblown by the Chicken Little Brigade!

  2. Ralph says:

    From Fox news:
One Florida death was attributed to hurricane Irene. In New Smyrna Beach a 55 year old surfer was throw off of his surf board in rough surf and died after possibly hitting his head.

They gotta scrape up something to blame a poor hurricane for.

    “From a flooding perspective….”

Yea a flood of Bullshit and Lies….

  4. DirkH says:

Steve, did you post about McKibben’s latest?

He’s doing a terrific job for us. Don’t know any better way to convert followers to skeptics.

  5. Baghdad Romm true to his usual form.

  6. Justa Joe says:

that warmist commenter, Terra whatever, is going to be heartbroken. Irene was all hype. This is what we have to look forward to with the warmist generation a lifetime of false alarms around every weather event.

  7. So, since it was a big bust, was Irene a global warming hurricane or a natural hurricane?

    • papertiger says:

Tough call. But the news reports today are about lost revenue due to closed businesses instead of lost store fronts due to storm damage. Maybe a clue in that.

Oh and Joe Romm is a squid’s dick. Always a safe call.
