Democrats were hoping for a repeat of the 1935 Labor Day Hurricane, which brought 185 MPH winds to the Florida Coast. Sadly for them, Issac failed to kill any body in Tampa.

The 1935 hurricane did some damage around Tampa. Many of the mature live oak trees in the area today are about 75 years old. I wonder why?
According to the US Drought Monitor, Isaac didn’t do too much to alleviate the dry conditions in the Midwest. Yes, there was some change. I guess I was just expecting more. Interesting…
