Arctic To Be Ice Free Before 2013

“Our projection of 2013 for the removal of ice in summer is not accounting for the last two minima, in 2005 and 2007,” the researcher from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, explained to the BBC.

“So given that fact, you can argue that may be our projection of 2013 is already too conservative.”

  1. Andy DC says:

“It’s much worse than we thought”. That is why Northern Hemispheric snowcover is at record levels and why Arctic sea ice is very close to the long time average.

  2. Lance says:

they can’t get the math right either. Red line description 30 year average(1979-2000) equals 22 years, not 30, and god forbid they include data to 2010!!! It would totally lose the ‘disaster’ coming…./sarc

  3. I’m sure they mean’t to type 2103. 😉

  4. tckev says:

More manic modeling for the meteorologically misguided.

  5. Andy OZ says:

Maslowski and Wadhams should return their PhD’s to Kellog’s after this northern summer once they are shown to be complete boof heads. And I have grave concerns about the Navel postgrad school as well. The next idea coming out of there will be to develop that flying aircraft carrier from the Avengers movie.

“It’s worse than we thought” really does describe the absence of common sense amongst these paranoid sociopaths and alledged scientists.

  6. kbray in california says:

How about “Ice Free Winters” ?
What is the scare date for that event ?
Now that would be an honest climate change.
However before that happens, Hell would become frozen over first.
Not likely, with all the overweight politicians destined for the fire.
