Actually, it’s a rainy day in DC today. Gore, Virginia is west of DC. Government is shut down today.
Correct – about 87 miles west, according to Mapquest. As the crow flies, it would probably be a little less, but nonetheless, an approximately 80-90 distance is more than enough to be in a different weather pattern.
A fascinating piece of information. Perhaps you should attend the hearing, since you believe it is not shut down. Everyone who works in DC lives within three blocks of their job location, in order to prevent excess CO2 pollution.
East Tennessee is experiencing the same Gore effect weather pattern! About 3 or 4 inches of it.
Wintery mix would be the appropriate term (Snow/Sleet/Rain) it should be changing over to pure snow in the late afternoon. Looking out the window in Arlington it’s sleeting but there’s also about an inch of wet sloppy snow on the ground.
Wisdom is the ability to see the events unfolding around you and you thus give pause and question your own perception of reality.
