    That picture reminds me of snow descriptions in the series “All Creatures Great and Small” by the veterinarian James Herriott (James Alfred Wright), Great books full of climate anecdotes 😉

    What do you expect at an island that is of the coast of Britain, close to France, and washed by the warmed waters of the Gulf Stream. As the temperature record here -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guernsey
    All that warm snow is bound to build up here.
