There are few who have done more to discredit the discipline of climate science than Michael Mann. You’d think these data manipulators and purveyors of pseudo-scientific hokum would give up while they are behind, but it appears they just can’t help themselves:
The latest is a recent effort by another group of alarmists headed by geologist Shaun Marcott to resurrect Mann’s bogus stick. Despite the fact that Marcott’s paper passed “peer review” (It is suspected Mann was one of the reviewers), it took McIntyre and a few colleagues only a few minutes to uncover the fraud http://climateaudit.org/2013/03/16/the-marcott-shakun-dating-service/ which this time involved re-dating ocean core samples.
As John Hinderaker has pointed out, “Fraudsters like Bernie Madoff … tried to hide the decline in the value of funds invested with them. Madoff is in jail. True justice would deliver a similar fate to Michael Mann et al.
