Climate experts tell us that global warming brings an early spring and early cherry blossoms to DC.
Record cold this morning, cherry blossoms shivering but surviving
In 1946, the trees had bloomed by March 15.
Thanks to global warming, the trees are blooming three weeks later than they did seven decades ago.
Craperoo, the trees have some chilly roots today!
Why doesn’t Mr Samenow ignore this and be a “climate denier” – the same as he calls me?
Just “deny” it’s happening, it’s easy.
Egads,66 degrees in Honolulu…
Steve, check this out.
The damage they have caused by rising fuel prices, Government’s refusal to develop fossil energy to meet needs, and money wasted in useless renewable energy schemes is no laughing manner
I would be happy if my cherry tree had started to blossom. Nope. Not one bit.
Btw.: I’m living in the mild climate Ireland near Dublin. At least it was mild in the past.
We have still frost at night and the day temperature is just to low even with the sun shining the whole day.
Have lived in the DC area my entire life. As a kid, I can commonly remember forsythia coming out by St. Patrick’s Day. This year, they are now just starting to come out. No matter how much they fudge the thermometer at National Airport and adjust temperature data, that fact still remains.
Here are Jim Hansen’s thoughts about the flowers,
“The trees have not been indoctrinated properly, that’s the cause, but next year they WILL blossom on March 15th… independently of what the thermometers say… besides we have to give’em a discount, after all they cannot understand the important messages of the MSM, yet!… “
Maybe he said something more like –
“CO2 that comes from the death-wagons of coal must be stopped. Today even the cherry trees of Washington D.C. understand the need to cut back on their use of CO2. They are not blooming today to protect future generations of cherry trees.”
And secretly he maybe err probably saying to himself that he is fos and can’t believe this err something
Now that’s unbelievable.
Yeah I believe what you just said! 😆
He would have to had a period of lucid sanity. Again unbelievable!
I think that period of lucid sanity is most likely err probably long pass. Note the usage of the weasel words, now where is me grant. 😆
I have hopes for great flowers at Augusta this year. Early spring left Augusta National with NO FLOWERS in early April last year.
