Wichita, Kansas broke a record that has stood since 1918 for latest measurable snow EVER. Russell, KS broke their daily record for coldest high temperature by 12 degrees. Salina & Wichita broke their records for coldest high temp for the date by 10 degrees. Breaking long standing temperature records by double digits is an unusual occurance, but has happened quite a few times during this remarkable April.
