Fort Collins police shot and killed a man Dec. 8 after he pointed a flashlight at officers trying to arrest him for multiple felony warrants, according to an official report of the incident that says the officers’ actions were justified.

‘Not guilty’ verdict for Ralph Wald

TAMPA (FOX 13) – A jury said Ralph Wald is not guilty of shooting and killing 32-year-old Walter Conley.

    Wald faced second-degree murder charges.
Prosecutors said Wald heard his wife and Conley having sex in their house, grabbed his gun, and shot Conley in cold blood.
But Wald said he thought his wife was being raped.
In court Wednesday, Wald said he had no regrets about shooting and killing Conley.

The moral of this story is if your wife is having an affair she should tell her husband or at least not have sex on the living room couch with someone her husband doesn’t know.

Careful Steven, or you could be the next cyclist whose safety equipment disappears after impact…

“A Fort Collins police officer responding to a call struck and injured a bicyclist with his patrol car in the intersection of Elizabeth and Remington streets early this morning, police said.

Thomas Wagner, 21, of Fort Collins, was hospitalized in serious condition at Poudre Valley Hospital following the approximately 2 a.m. collision with Officer Todd Brubaker’s 2005 Crown Victoria sedan, police said.

Police said Wagner was riding north on Remington without lights, reflectors or a helmet when Brubaker, who was driving west on Elizabeth, ran into him. The intersection is near the IHOP, just east of the Colorado State University campus.”

The swine always use that crap excuse! It is time to disarm the damn cops. Issue them non-lethal devices only.

    Local cops Steve?

    • Yep – they did it a block away from my son’s middle school. That guy had a lot of nerve to use a flashlight to see who was knocking on his door at 11PM.

RE: “That guy had a lot of nerve to use a flashlight to see who was knocking on his door at 11PM”

That is not what happened. Sara Maruska and Eric Polikon answered the door, and were not shot by officers. Sara and Eric didn’t need flashlights to see the officers. That is why porch lights exist. They told police officers that Raymond was still in the house. When Raymond came to the door, they asked him to show his hands. He pointed the flashlight at the officers as if he was holding a gun. It was suicide by cop.

There were more witnesses than just the police.

It is still a wrongful death suit because they used excessive force, firing 24 times.

        • Bullshit. A flashlight doesn’t look anything like a gun, and it was an apartment, not a house. I know the place and it is very dark there. It is immediately adjacent to the Spring Creek Bike trail which I ride on every day.

        • Ben says:

I am also familiar with this area. Note not only a porch light, but a large exterior building light in the upper left. Unit 607 is not dark. You could make that claim about unit 605.

        • A flashlight looks nothing like a gun. Their explanation is implausible.

If it was so well lit, why were the police incapable of seeing that it wasn’t a gun?
