Normally the Guardian refers to non-academics as cranks. My question is, why would anyone spew global warming propaganda for free?

The only thing of interest is the removal of any contrary points of view from the comment section. Propaganda at its finest.

Down at the other Pole the AMS aren’t satisfied with extreme sub-zero temps…

I have and I am sure Steve has many accounts of significant increase and at other times decrease in the arctic sea ice.
The PDO is changing from its negative (warm phase) to its positive (cool phase); and with it comes a reversal in wind direction over the north pacific. Also the AMO will be changing soon. The winds effect the floating ice more in the summer. It will be interesting to see what happens to both the Arctic and Antarctic in the coming years/decades.
John Abraham is a relatively young instructor in Minnesota who sees himself as part of the team, and as such sees himself as one who has to go about putting out ‘denial fires’ I am preparing myself to get a little wet but keep the home fires burning.
