No, they will keep making up fake b.s. for a few more years until it is clear it is cooling. Then they will gradually try to move back to global cooling and a new ice age. And people are so stupid it may just work.
Now they have the roving hotspot argument (Trenberth) and they can continue to use the global weirding bit. They can point to the unprecedented sunspot cycle, etc. They also have the moving jet-stream argument where getting hotter makes it colder.
I do think those with integrity and who are real scientists at heart will gradually move to realizing that natural changes are a bigger part than they thought and that the effect due to doubling of CO2 is much less than they thought and it is not catastrophic. This will be a huge change and prevent a lot of harm to the economy, unless Barack gets his way too soon.
Eventually, we may realize that the effect from CO2 is slight and that the planet has other mechanisms that act as regulators/feedback to prevent much change in temperatures. I still allow that CO2 could have half the effect they think it does but it could have almost no effect (IMO).

I had to find out why anyone would want to move there. In 1935 the famous humorist Will Rogers and pilot Wiley Post made an unplanned stop at Walakpa Bay 15 mi (24 km) south of Barrow while en route to Barrow. As they took off again their plane stalled and plunged into a
river, killing them both. Each to his own, I guess.

One thing about this graph that needs wide spread distribution is the fact that between May 1st and the start of June each year you can cover the difference in sea ice extent with a horse blanket. The same thing happens at or about the Winter Solstice each year. The up shot is that in the past 9 years the Winters have been about as cold as they ever was and that every year as much as 60% of Arctic Sea ice is first year or new sea ice. In other words Reggie was right about the Arctic being covered in new ice. However as we can now see, Reggie was badly mistaken about the power and furry of his blow-hard blowtorch.

Another thing going on is the failure of the arctic to flush out a lot of ice through Fram Strait, as was very noticeable in 2007. This flushing makes there be more ice off the east coast of Greenland, but less ice left back in the Arctic Sea. This year is quite different. You can see there is less ice off the east coast of Greenland, (which actually lowers the “extent” figures,) but more ice is hanging back in the Arctic Sea.
I’ve been watching the North Pole Camera, and it drifted south of 84 degrees latitude a couple weeks ago. Then it turned around and drifted north of 84 degrees. Yesterday it drifted south of 84 degrees again. It is in no hurry to get to Fram Strait.

Mr. Wadhams says there will be no Arctic ice in the Summer of 2016. He based this on trends. We are lucky to have such eminent professors around.
What is going on with the rowers? I see they are now hugging the south
coast. When (and where and how) did they go north to get where they are now?
They started (12 July) at Tuktoyaktuk around 69.5 N. Around 24th July they were about 707.7N – that’s as far north as they’ve been. Now they’re
down around 68.5N.

The rowers crossed to Lady Franklin Point on Victoria Island & are headed to Cambridge Bay by proceeding north of Edinburgh Island & Richardson Islands. I was gratified to discover that Streetview is available in Cambridge Bay. The cemetery to the NW along Ovayok Road surprised me by its large size.

I didn’t think even the alarmists could be that stupid. The total failure of all their much ballyhooed climate models has to leave quite a stain on the collective alarmist credibility. (if you can call it that)
The climate realists have been laughing at the alarmists for quite a while now.
If airborne particulates can moderate “uncontrollable greenhouse warming effects” then it’s possible to inexpensively control global warming by disabling all the power plant dust collectors and bag houses.
In the alarmists’ excuses for the complete failure of their data-tampered models to accurately predict anything at all, they propose an inexpensive solution that requires no carbon taxes or credits or other frauds. How dumb is that?
Though I suspect they are even now preparing grant applications to determine the optimum particulate levels to control the looming global warming climate change disaster. And if they get those grants, the joke is on the taxpayers.
When WUWT ran the contest of coming up with a new name for AGW one was Irritiable Climate Syndrome. Perfect name I thought. The more I thought about the name ICS the more I realized how much it has in common with Irritiable Bowel Syndrome. In order to believe in ICS or be afflicted with IBS both parties must be full of shit. That certainly applies to those who thought the arctic ice would be gone by 2013.
The Global Alarmists will be claiming global warming for ANY climate changes up and until the time that their lives are frozen out of them due to global cooling.
