Survey Results : People Can’t Stand To Watch Obama

I have been running an experiment today. The featured blog post shows videos of some of Obama’s most egregious public misbehavior. They are definitely worth watching.

But very few people are watching them. Despite high traffic on the blog today, people are skipping right past that post. My theory is that the thought of being stuck with Obama for three more years is just too much to handle, and people don’t want to be reminded what America is up against.

  1. Chuck says:

I watched two last night. Its all I could take. I did so while drinking a particularly strong IPA. That might have made the two possible.

  2. I was going to watch him last night. I honestly CAN NOT stand to hear him talk, or watch him on the television. He sickens me, literally as well as figuratively.

  3. Who needs to watch more than one. When you’ve seen one you’ve seen them all. Such a wasted presedidentiall 5 yrs and counting.

  4. Gamecock says:

I have no interest in watching him read the teleprompter.

He can’t even look us in the eye as he lies to us.

  5. Wyguy says:

Sorry Steven could not stand to watch even a half second.

  6. Gina says:

I would like to watch liberals watch these! But you’re showing them to the choir, so to speak. We’ve seen them and know they’re nauseating.

  7. Bob Gray says:

I haven’t watch them because I’ve seen them all previously, and they trigger an exrtaordinary release of bile.

  8. I would rather be forced to watch an autopsy than that idiot with the teleprompter.

  9. G. Watkins says:

Third visit today – crap UK TV – so watched the first three. Each one is damning and supports your harsh criticism. Tony Blair reincarnate. Stratford,Broadway or Hollywood would have been better career choices. Three more years; you lucky guys.

  10. Robertv says:

United States is no longer governed by the US Constitution, but by a crazed ideology that has given rise to a domestic police state more complete than that of Communist East Germany and to a warfare state that attacks sovereign countries based on nothing but manufactured lies

  11. BobW in NC says:

The Null hypothesis testing your “…theory [ ] that the thought of being stuck with Obama for three more years is just too much to handle,” appears solid and should be accepted as valid. The alternate hypothesis, that they love him and can’t get enough of him, appears to be in trouble from the data you’ve collected. Therefore it is falsified and should be rejected.

As he should be. There. I’ve said it.

  12. Actually, your theory has been around for several years. Remember the Tea Party, and the 2010 elections? Yep, same theory; sorry. (I was probably among the first to think of it–absolute disgust with him–certainly no later than the spring 2008 Rev. Wright episode.)

  13. scizzorbill says:

I, like many others cannot endure the sight of him let alone listening to his psycho babble. If he appears on the screen, my challenge is to hit the mute button, or change channels before he makes a move or utters a sound. Disgusting and pathetic creature.

  14. suyts says:

Steve you’re probably on to something there. I tried to watch that idiot’s speech last night, for a post, but, couldn’t stomach him. So I waited for the transcript. He reads just as imbecilic as he sounds.

  15. Edmonon Al says:

I watched him for a short while about 4 years ago. I cannot stand him. Period.
I will not click onto those vids.
I could not believe he was voted in for a second term.

  16. Lena says:

A friend of mine had watched the presidential debate a year ago, and when I asked him how it was, he said “painful”. I do not even know anybody who watched this stuff anymore.

Also, since one commentator mentioned East Germany — I lived under that system, and during the last few years before the wall fell, the atmosphere there felt very much the same it is in the US now. People no longer pay attention to politicians, who are totally out of touch anyway.

On the plus side, people who used to call me a conspiracy theorist are starting to listen to me.

  17. Sundance says:

I voted for Obomba when he ran for office in Illinois. Back then he supported coal and oil expansion in Illinois. The more I saw of his lack of executive skills the more I distanced myself. The final straw was when Michelle’s salary was doubled at U of C Hospital while ER patients without insurance were refused for treatment and shipped to county at thee same time Obomba earmarked $1,000,000.00 of government funding for U of C. That was the wake up call that he was a the same old same old Chicago Way political thief. I had enough of him before he was president and for me waterboarding would be preferable to watching him on video.

    • Ivan says:

Reading this makes me think that Steve should start an “Obamaholics Anonymous” page, where people can openly declare – “Hello, my name is xxxx, and I’m an Obamaholic,” and tell their tragic personal tales of how and why they drifted into this life of delusion and self-loathing, and the steps they are making towards self-improvement and redemption. It would be very beneficial and therapeutic for all sorts of reasons.

  18. Fred Allen says:

Gave up listening to Obama after 2 years of his presidency. And me; who considers himself a swing voter and somewhere left of Right wing and right of Left wing. The guy should be narrating childrens’ books. He’s got a good voice. Unfortunately, that’s as far as it goes. He couldn’t lie straight in bed.

  19. tom0mason says:

    My fellow citizens, I’m sorry.
That is to say I apologize, for I have been watching these videos. But understand me, and understand that I have not done this for my good. No. I’ve done it for the benefit of future generations, so please remember what I have had to do. I sat through literally hours of this, and it may have change me. And because of this I have ordered …
…Yes nurse I’m coming, I just got to save the world, and I will fundamentally…

  20. nomoregore says:

Can’t take 2 seconds of that POS. The only video I want to see is the one depicting his arrest.

  21. AndrewS says:

watched most of them after reading this post, Thanks for that last one 😉 and thanks to who posted this bit of related humor:
so not real it’s almost scary!

  22. Leigh says:

    Select highlights from Twitter:

Instead of listening to Obama’s speech, I just punched myself in the face for 20 minutes. Less painful, more fun.

Can this go down in the history books as Obama’s prick speech?

I missed the part of Obama’s speech where he talks about what happens AFTER we drop bombs and missiles into a country that didn’t attack us ~ What in the world was that? Really, what WAS that? Am I supposed to feel informed? Inspired? ~ Tried to watch Obama’s speech but got bored and ate some vanilla ice cream while watching a lava lamp instead. ~ What did Nancy Pelosi’s five-year-old grandson think of Obama’s speech? He is embarrassed and against it and he wants a cookie.

  23. R. Kimmins says:

I came across this site by accident, but oh my yes, the sound of Obama’s voice makes me want to hurl vomit across the room. I will never understand America’s love affair with him. Nothing out of his mouth is truthful. I feel very sorry for the people in Syria, but I wouldn’t trust Obama to take us into battle. God help us if something really serious occurs.
