“… Gissendanner is to report to a federal prison in Springfield, Mo., to begin serving an 18-month sentence for obstruction of justice. In November, he pleaded guilty to writing a letter to help a friend, Dennis McGuire, a convicted drug smuggler, get a more lenient sentence.

The letter, written in 1980, had surfaced in the midst of an unrelated trial last November in which Gissendanner was charged with extortion, conspiracy, perjury and tax evasion. The federal government said that Gissendanner, head of the Florida Marine Patrol, had accepted $80,000 for saving drug trafficker Patrick Bilton from jail by having him made a Marine Patrol informant.”

Apparently he will say anything for money.

Leftists are great at promoting self loathing, which of course leads to self immolation. Too bad the sane and the innocent are often burned as well.
