Obama Just Can’t Stop Lying

I just got this E-Mail from the President.

That’s all great?

He forgot to mention that he tripled the deficit his first year in office, and that his smallest deficit is much larger than his predecessor’s largest.

In 2008, he complained that Bush had raised the national debt to $8.8 trillion.

He has nearly doubled that.

Obama appears to be incapable of telling the truth about anything.

But you have to give the guy credit for his deft handling of Copenhagen 2009:

    Excellent work Mr. President!

If we can just hang on until this guy is out of office…

  2. Mike D says:

He didn’t inherit all that spending in 2009. The stimulus added hundreds of billions of spending to 2009 specifically so that they could make this kind of claim. This is why they’ve been using this line since 2009. Except their intent was to be spending unbelievable amounts of money right now, but with incredibly high tax receipts. They magically expected 4% growth in spite of regulating the heck out of businesses and increasing taxes.

I pointed this out in early 2009, when his first budget that supported their claim came out and was coincidentally audited.

Obviously this is an update for the low information voters.
You can tell that because there are only a few words on it.
That way they won’t have to move their lips when they are looking at it.

  4. TomC says:

The only reason for a halving of the budget deficit was that we hit the debt ceiling in July, forcing the government to resort to accounting trickery to keep the fiscal operating debt below the $16.7 trillion debt ceiling figure. When the government shutdown ended and the government was once again granted borrowing authority the debt rose to where it is now at $17.16 trillion.

With this being the case our FY2014 budget deficit is already $462 billion after a mere 43 days.

Details, details, details … what matters is the trend and Obama is on the right course … sarc

Max Kaiser has some background about the mental state of economists running the the Titanic: http://www.maxkeiser.com/2013/11/kr522-keiser-report-troika-occupiers-ft-peter-schiff/

Not so long ago people like that would have been tarred, feathered and hung by the neck.
Today they apologize and continue to cut holes under the waterline of the Titanic while we blog about them.

  7. Larry Fields says:

Back in the day, it was assumed that presidents were basically honorable people. In the 1950’s, the American public was shocked when Eisenhower got caught lying about the U2 incident.

Now fast-forward to President Dogpile, who lies about almost everything. Some enterprising soul should write a book that lists and analyzes most of Barry’s outright lies, deliberately misleading statements, broken campaign promises, etc. Here’s one possible title: The Liar-in-Chief. This tome be an instant best-seller, and a great public service.

Of course, the author would be hounded by the IRS until the most corrupt American president in history finally leaves office in disgrace.
