A metre of hail now would probably be the start of prosecuting skeptics. They’re just waiting for an opportunity like this. The resemblance with historic superstition and past solutions is pretty scary.
I tend to think that Alarmist nincompoops have made the MSM so gun shy of the weather that a slight breeze, a half degree temperature increase and 0.5 mm of rain is immediately classified as a sign of Armageddon, and an excuse to burn a few skeptic witches. 1 metre of hail would be the four horsemen and they’d head straight for the bunkers to do a Jim Jones on their families.
Any intelligent person would by now surely understand that when the opposition starts using code words and name calling that they have something to hide and can’t stand the sunshine. When they call you a denier or a racist or tea bagger you are getting too close to the truth and they need to marginalize you. We are witnessing the nastiest political attempt at a coup since the Russian revolution and the goal is exactly the same.
“Weather cooking”, global warming, what’s the difference?
Though the 1600’s did have an approach that the alarmists have taken to heart.
“Skeptics” and “Deniers” would be accused as sorcerers and witches if by doing so, the alarmists could arrange their demise.
Funny how there is always a “Chicken Little” element to the population. Some folks apparently need something to scare themselves and others with. In the past it was the “Devil”, today it’s CO2.
As a matter of interest in the late 1970’s in southern Minnesota a hail storm hit that transformed the landscape. In this agricultural region corn fields were already about four feet high.
After the storm there was no evidence of there actually being any kind of a crop. It was not that plants were flattened, rather they simply disappeared and when the hail melted, there remained only the black soil, no green whatsoever.
Immediately after the storm, snowplows were called out to clear the roads.
How has ignorance, magic, witchcraft, sorcery, and superstition changed in the 21st century? We still have all the “global warming” nonsense being blamed on ridiculous excuses, corporations, energy, and whatever that supports politicians. I don’t see any real change in the ignorance and superstition of average people.
