No trend means no global warming funding, so NOAA cools the past at 1.9ºF/century.

-11F in MI, with -34F wind chill.

  3. Winston Smith rewriting the historical record…..expect such lies to be in the textbooks for Minn’s kids by next fall. Also the MSM is reporting that record cold is due to warming….so it matters not – rain, heat, cold, snow, cloud cover, wind, storms, no storms — it is always globaloneywarming. Instead of big brother’s picture everywhere the state can use the ‘Climate Change’ image as its touchstone of comfort. Drink gin, smile at the image, bow.

With maximums topping out a little above minus 5 C they could do with a bit of global warming.

For what it is worth from a retired MN teacher who just got back back from a cruise in the Gulf of Mexico, I am working very hard to bring accuracy to MN classrooms by giving materials to former colleagues and to several former students who are now science teachers.
Creating my own blog for many different presentations etc. Also, trying to prepare teaching materials of which climate studies is a part.
I have been in contact with hundreds of people who lend their views, 90% of whom have expertise in a different area than attribution of any climate changes or the history thereof— they mostly believe in the AGW meme. However, among those who do understand it there is an increasing valid scientific viewpoint that they really do not know much at all. There are unknowns and unknown unknowns, therefore they recognize that they are in negative discovery.
The problem is that too many careers and too much money and too many delicate egos simply serve to prolong the fallacy.
Also, GATOR 69, you are quite accurate in your analysis (give or take a little) in particular the Super Bowl, Problem is the organization lost heart, got soft and started playing games inside–unlike the Packers who persist in playing the game in conditions that test the heart and spirit.

BTW, I was in a winter survival unit in the military and spent many nights in things like snow caves when it was 40 below. Ice crystals on your eyebrows, eye lashes, hanging from your nose and much more, lots of fun!!!!!!
