  1. DS says:

…yet they simultaneously complain when “inequality” forces people to live without those things in other countries.

  2. Bob Knows says:

Before fossil fuels people relied on muscle power. More than 90% of the people worked 12 hours a day on family farms. Slavery was universal in all human cultures. Life was miserable for most humans. Let the libturds have it if they want.

  4. Andy Oz says:

One of my favourite MP skits of all time.
“Aquatic ceremony” and “watery tart”! ROFL.
Alarmists, like all elitists, cannot handle the sarcasm!

    • There Is No Substitute for Victory. says:

Alarmist also known as Progressives are just good little Petite Bourgeoisie who depend on the ruling feudal bourgeoisie like Prince Owl of Gore for their feudal power base.

These petty bourgeoisie are not worried about something as abstract as the environment but instead the progressives are worried that in in some unforeseen way they will become personally inconvenienced by capitalism. Meaning that the progressives are afraid that they may be reduced in the future to cutting their own lawns and diapering their own b**tards.

  5. NikFromNYC says:

Boycott the liberal arts. Now 48% of faculty yet merely 7% of graduates. End of the fucking line already! Slanderous nits, all.

  6. darrylb says:

nik– so there is a conservative in NYC??? Well maybe you and Hannity.

  7. Gail Combs says:

If they think we should cut CO2 emissions by 80% THEN lead by example. Let them PROVE that humans can have a nice existence while producing only 20% of the current CO2.
    1. No Nuclear allowed
    2. No water Power allowed
    3. No Cows/oxen allowed.
    4. No fireplaces or wood stoves allowed

They get a wind turbine (not an old fashion windmill) and a couple solar panels, a basket of seeds, a flint and steel, a ram and a ewe sheep and a buck and doe goat, and four chickens. We will be nice and dump them where there is flint.

I am sure there is some where in northern Canada we can set-up the experimental compound. In twenty years they can report back on how the experiment worked.

Just to give you a feeling of the problem:
The average for the USA is 335.9 million BTUs per person for the present level of civilization.

In 1949, U.S. energy use per person stood at 215 million Btu.

The U.S. in 1800 had a per-capita energy consumption of about 90 million Btu.

If the USA reduces its energy consumption/CO2 by 80% it equals 45.18 million Btu. per person. That is half what was used BEFORE the Civil War began in 1861 and end slavery. The first cast iron plow and the cradle and scythe were just introduced in the 1790s. Factory-made agricultural machinery was becoming available in the 1830 and 1840s fifty years later.

In 1830 it took about 250-300 labor-hours to produce 100 bushels (5 acres) of wheat with walking plow, brush harrow, hand broadcast of seed, sickle, and flail.

In 1987 it took about 3 labor-hours to produce 100 bushels (3 acres) of wheat with tractor, 35-foot sweep disk, 30-foot drill, 25-foot self-propelled combine, and trucks.

If they THINK they can have a decent civilization with an 80% CO2 reduction AND all the other cravats eco-loons put on energy production then it is time the put their money where their mouth is.

Obama and his family, Mikey Mann, Hansen… can lead by example.
