CRUTEM4 Diverging From Satellite Data At 0.76C/Century

RSS satellite data shows very little global warming over land since 1995, while CRUTEM4 shows a lot of global warming over land during the same period. Without that warming, they have no hockey stick.

The divergence is a spectacular 0.76C/century, implying that almost the entire surface data trend is due to UHI contamination.

Sorry, but what is URH contamination?

  2. tomwys says:

Its UHI contamination (not URH) and it stands for “Urban Heat Island” effect.

But there is more! The HadCRUT4 data set has been weighted improperly!!!

    See: for a full explanation!!!

You cant play hockey without ice, just ask, brrr the Canadians.

  4. Stephen Richards says:

CRU 4 was developed for what ? CRU3 was running a bit low, Betts had nothing to do because the planet had stopped warming, why ? Because they wanted to include areas of the planet which were not covered by thermometers ?

This is why more mature, rural dwellers, do not buy into CAGW. Every day we see the urban temperatures that are being reported, but we already know what our weather station says, and once again note the divergence. So we smile, and feel sorry for the packed rats, who suffer from their colonial delusions.

Isn’t it great to get out of the hive?

I spent most of my adult life in apartments. Now I am 1/4 mile from the nearest road in the middle of nowhere. GRIN!

I spent my first four decades living in cities and on military bases, and always knew I was not where I was meant to be. There is nothing more liberating than living away from the mad fray, and I would rather die than live in a city again.

        • Gail Combs says:

Boy do you have that right. I can think of nothing more horrifying than getting stuck in an old folks home.
