A Religion Without Redemption Or Forgiveness

The green religion offers only guilt. You are wrecking the planet, and the only thing you can do is make token hopeless gestures with no chance of success, and no benchmarks to even measure success by.

After a while, the only recourse for adherents to this religion is to find someone else to blame and develop a righteous anger. Europeans did this in the 16th century, when 30,000 witches were burned at the stake for “cooking the weather.”

Now we see academics blaming the Koch Brothers, and climate skeptics in general for bad weather. Some academics are calling for the death penalty for climate skepticism. Exactly the same dark ages thought process as five hundred years ago, based on superstition, hatred and ignorance.

One can only assume that the high priests of the global warming religion are doing this on purpose. There isn’t any end game to pushing CO2 guilt, other than generating hatred against more rational people.

I hear you are getting several FEET of snow today! Ouch.

It is downright cold (52F) here in SE Missouri this morning.

Perhaps the force that actually controls Earth’s climate will now reveal itself in a way that cannot be ignored by dogmatic, egotistical scientists and religionists.

They may realize the Sun’s pulsar core emits the invisible force field which:

      1. “Brings the particles of an atom to vibration and holds this most minute solar system of the atom together … We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.” – Max Planck [1].

      2. Explains Jung’s finding [2] of worldwide commonality in the image of a Higher Power that forms the basis of modern psychological and spiritual cosmology.

Thank you for your excellent blog and insight into human nature.

Despite the current bleak outlook for mankind, I am personally convinced that truth will again triumph over deception..Again, Steven, I appreciate your efforts to make that happen.

File “A Religion Without Redemption Or Forgiveness” under the category: per wiki:

Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds – a history of popular folly by Scottish journalist Charles Mackay, first published in 1841. The book chronicles its subjects in three parts: “National Delusions”, “Peculiar Follies”, and “Philosophical Delusions”.

The subjects of Mackay’s debunking include economic bubbles, alchemy, crusades, witch-hunts, prophecies, fortune-telling, magnetisers (influence of imagination in curing disease), shape of hair and beard (influence of politics and religion on), murder through poisoning, haunted houses, popular follies of great cities, popular admiration of great thieves, duels, and relics.

  5. Gail Combs says:

One wonders what will happen if the weather/short term climate actually does do a repeat of the Little Ice Age.

Will the general population blame the Warmists or the Skeptics? The warmists aka as Climastrologists and Politicians, with their morphing of CAGW into Climate Change/Disruption, are trying to make sure when the witch hunts start it is us not them to blame.

Thank goodness for the internet and sites like this.

    • James the Elder says:

A little OT, but where are the robins this year? The flocks usually arrive toward the end of March, but so far, nothing. All I have this year is an infestation of inchworms that have stripped every hickory on my lot.

But didn’t you know that “[T]he debate is over! The science is settled! Any other point of view in this day and age is hateful. It’s racism straight up . . . .”

Now the green religion’s antichrist is returning. El Niño!
Obviously caused by our sins of the carbon. More alarm!!
    http://www.businessinsider.com.au/el-nino-is-coming-here-are-8-ways-it-will-affect-australia-including-a-possible-drought-2014-4

    • tom0mason says:

Yes I had some words with an arch-warmist at work, and he informed me that El Niño are cause by man-made CO2 heating the atmosphere and that they never happened before we (humans) push the CO2 level up.
Needless to say the guy is an card carrying leftwing idiot.

      • Gail Combs says:

He must get his Psycience straight from Huff’nPuff.

A few years ago I thought I would take a look at Huffington Post since it is a prime propaganda rag of the left.

        What do I find???
AOL bought out the Huffington Post.
On the board of directors we have a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a former Director of CIT Group Inc and a former partner at Plainfield Asset Management, who “manages investment capital for high net worth individuals based in the United States and abroad.”

The chairman is also Chairmen of The Advertising Council Inc. who just won a $“2,049,078 federal contract from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency for ready campaign support services.”

So we find connections to CFR, Bankers,”High net worth individuals” and Homeland Security. Such wonderful LIBERAL groups.(snicker)

        • tom0mason says:

Oh yes, and much more from him later when I heard him saying that NASA says that the Antarctic is melting away and will food the world. I kid not this guy truly believes all this crap.
Thanks for the links I would like to try to make him aware but I fear he is beyond help.

        • Brian H says:

Why would fooding the world be a bad thing? 😉

  8. Morgan says:

Not guilt but blame. They blame the oil companies for making petroleum products but don’t blame themselves for buying them. Global warming is caused by the power companies but they don’t blame themselves for using electricity.

They claim the oil companies force them to buy petroleum. The same idiot mentality causes fat people to blame McDonalds for making greaseburgers, or smokers blaming tobacco companies for forcing them to smoke. What a bunch of looooooosers.

    • Gail Combs says:

Oh it’s always someone else’s fault

Oh it’s always someone else’s fault
When I do just what I do.
The blame is clear; my somersault
Glues my blame direct to you.
It’s all you fault, and none is mine.
      The thought is just sublime.

Oh what I do, when I go wrong,
Is most surely all your fault.
It can’t be mine; all faults belong
      To some other’s cracked Gestalt.

If you take no blame, it must be them
Who must then pay my fines.
It’s really is quite the cleverest ploy
      By which illogic shines.

Society is guilty, large and small,
For all the crimes I do.
It is they must pay, and prostrate fall
When e’er I give the cue.

      Oh it’s always someone else’s fault….
