Everyone in the press knows who the 249th draft pick was, both almost none know who Jadeveon Clowney or the other 247 are.
When they aren’t busy trying to wreck the constitution, destroy our energy security, raise taxes or eliminate freedom in the US – this is progressives’ vision for what children should be watching on television.
The legacy press is interested in selling their agenda. The NFL draft is not as important to them as a gay player.

Conscientious parents should not be allowing their children to watch TV.
My home TV is used only for Netflix and DVDs. And I am the one who selects the programs.
I quit watching the Boob Tube in 1974. Think of the YEARS of time I had for more useful occupations.
Telling children stories about kings murdering babies, god slaughtering everyone and everything on earth by drowning, and ancient monarchs demanding mountains or foreskins from their enemies is far more appropriate than two consenting adults being in love with each other.
I’m a fan of this site, but have to disagree with this sort of sentiment. So what? Who got harmed?

Of what relevance is such a display to the matter of sports? None whatsoever. Yet it is the lead story with the degree of competency of playing the sport being held as irrelevant and lightly reported if at all. What is selected to be communicated or not tells much about the agenda behind the story. The agenda was clearly NOT the sport and totally outside of the purview of the NFL. It is ultimately about total and complete control over thought and behavior were each can think only permitted thoughts, speak only permitted words, and act only by permission.
Who got harmed? The players, the fans, the owners, the public, everyone!

The issue, Jeo, is that Tebow (a practicing Xian) was censured and derided in the media for openly espousing his beliefs, while Sam (a practicing homosexual) is promoted and praised for openly espousing his beliefs. The “harm” in that is that children and other impressionable people a) don’t understand the double standard, b) don’t understand the bias, and c) don’t understand that they are being influenced to believe and accept one thing over another.
That said, I don’t blame Sam, the NFL or the mainstream media. I blame the American public for allowing themselves to become mindless consumers of television “news” and losing the ability to discern these things and call it out when they see it.
Not that anyone teaches those stories to their children until those children have the mental and emotional capacity to understand them – but then, there’s the rub: parents have the choice to put such stories in proper context. Not so much in this case.
But even bringing any of that up misses the point, which is the double-standard treatment of an outspoken Christian as compared to the treatment of an outspoken homosexual.
Oh, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. When Tim Tebow became a journeyman player through trades and cuts, most football fans recognized that it was primarily due to his on-field performance, and had nothing to do with his outspokenness about his faith. Michael Sam might not even make it out of the Rams’ training camp, because if his combine performance is any indication, he’s simply not that good. If that proves to be the case, and he gets cut, let’s just see what the general reaction will be, shall we?
It’s pretty sickening. MSNBC is just lovin’ football all of a sudden. Every libtard out there has put Sam in the HoF already. They’re touting Sam’s recognition as SEC defensive player of the year. Sam was actually SEC CO-defensive player of the year. The Sam promoters don’t even know who the other SEC co-defensive player of the year is, Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley, who went in the 1st round. BTW the SEC’s purported real best defensive player, Clowney, mailed it in this season so he took himself out of the running.
I was ambivalent towards this HIGHLY over-rated player, Sam, prior to the orchestrated by ESPN stunt that they pulled on draft day. Now I’m concerned. You rarely ever even see a hetero player kiss his girlfriend after being drafted. I cannot recall having ever seen it.
Also you never… ever… see a guy that thinks that he’s at least a 3rd round talent get drafted in the LATE 7th round and then celebrated like it’s 1999. Sam’s priorities are all mixed up for a guy that claims to want to be a PRO football player. He embarrassed the Rams, who took a chance on this guy. I don’t see this guy making it in the league. I’m starting to wonder if he’s being exploited by his handlers to further the agenda.
Just wait for the propaganda parade if he gets any injury during a game.
