Agreed; I remember seeing a film about the devastation wrought by the nuclear bomb in Japan while in grade school; fat chance such raw footage would make it into the classroom today …

It makes me wonder about humanity or exactly what is going on here on this rock. What other species on this planet has such a loathing for its own kind that it behaves like this? It’s not natural.

      • Gail Combs says:

        Yes it is.

        It is entirely natural.

Take a wild herd of horse. Introduce a very strong aggressive stallion. He will not only kill the resident stallion but he will kill the foals and forcibly rape the mares causing them to abort the old stallion’s fetus so the next foal crop will be his.

Competition for females (breeding rights) and territory is generally seen in most animals, even herbivores like horses.

Unfortunately too many city folk suffer from The Bambi Syndrome.

Having graduated from college in the spring of 98′ with a BA in Sociology, I took it upon myself to begin research on a sociological disorder that has plagued the U.S. for the last two decades. As far as I know, no other studies have touched on this particular syndrome, so most likely, this is the first place you will have heard about it.

Being the first to study the disorder did have its advantages. For one thing, I got to name it. After careful thought and consideration, I assigned it the common name, “Bambi Syndrome”, and the scientific name of “Swolenogin Bambitis Ignoramus”. I felt it important to give it a name that all would recognize…..

At least one Sociologist put his degree to good use. {:>D

        • usJim says:

Gail, that example does not show “a loathing for its own kind” but rather a loathing of competitors (for the purposes of the ‘rights’ to reproduction in the herd). ‘Gangs’ (gangsters) exhibit this behavior, but do not loathe mankind (only the competition!) in general.

B refers to an ‘overall genocidal tendency’ in progressives for really no good reason, except a persistent ‘mental guilt’. A guilt they must assuage or satisfy, as in, make amends for, or perform some sort of penance for, to make them ‘feel’ better (maybe ‘redeemed’ even), and a state they will not reach SINCE they require ALL mankind to capitulate to their (nutty, self-immolating) thinking and perform said ‘acts’ of penance …

You did not extend that back to the source. The question is Where did the Progressives learn that self-loathing? Why did the USA turn from an optimistic ‘we can do anything country’ to ‘we are evil people who have sinned against nature and the rest of the world.’ This change was not spontaneous. It was designed and fostered and implanted by the enemies of free individualists. by people who wanted to return free men to serfdom.

From the book Willing Accomplices: How KGB Covert Influence Agents Created Political Correctness and Destroyed America by Kent Clizbe

Propaganda was aimed at influencing “Innocents,” which is the term Soviet covert operatives used to describe Westerners who could be manipulated into doing the Communists’ bidding.

Covert operatives realized that America’s greatest strengths were its proud exceptionalism and belief that freedom and liberty were part of man’s divine destiny. Our free society also made us vulnerable to covert operations. KGB case officers and their agents had easy access to a wide range of American society. …
          ….

The goal of the operations was to make Americans feel that their country was bad. The KGB utilized Willing Accomplices to spread the message that America was an evil, racist, imperialist war- monger and that Communism was a benign, noble experiment designed to rid the world of corruption, oppression and injustice.

          Covert Influence Payload
Babette Gross, wife of KGB agent Willi Muenzenberg, explained the content of the Soviet payload to Stephen Koch:
          * You claim to be an independent-minded idealist.
          * You don’t really understand politics, but you think the little guy is getting a lousy break.
          * You believe in open-mindedness.
          * You are shocked, frightened by what is going on right here in our own country.
          * You’re frightened by the racism, by the oppression of the workingman.
          * You think the Russians are trying a great human experiment, and you hope it works.
          * You believe in peace.
          * You yearn for international understanding.
          * You hate fascism.
          * You think the capitalist system is corrupt.

This payload exactly matches today’s PC-Progressive message. The message that Soviet covert operators propagated through American Willing Accomplices. The Willing Accomplices, wittingly or unwittingly, spread the anti-American message. And this message bloomed and grew into the pernicious set of taboos and strictures that we call PC today. It is important to note that Soviet espionage simply planted the seeds of PC. The seedlings did not need continued communist cultivation. The Soviets’ American Willing Accomplices nurtured the anti-American message in universities, newsrooms, and in Hollywood.

After the payloads were planted, the vast majority of the communist intelligence operatives met the fate of most stooges of totalitarian thugs—violent death at the hands of their comrades. ….

In 2008, PC blossomed into full flower. In a spasm of PC-induced guilt, America elected our first anti-American president, who did not hide his disgust for normal Americans. Obama is the first president to apologize repeatedly for America’s sins against foreign countries, and to speak disparagingly against the country that elected him. Obama’s cool, detached Elite attitude, loathing the “bitter clingers” of the heartland, is a living testament to the power and success of Muenzenberg’s covert influence operations….

The aggressive new stallion was Lenin and Stalin who used propaganda to destroy (sucessfully) the culture that had made the USA great.

Taking advantage of the intellectual and philosophical climate of the early 1900s, the Soviet intelligence apparatus began what would now be called in intelligence circles, “a preparation of the battle space” to move the world towards the inevitable dictatorship of the proletariat.

        • Gail Combs says:

Congressman MCFadden tells us WHO was behind Lenin and the Soviet Revolution in his speech before Congress 10 June 1932. He was murdered for being out spoken BTW.

        • B says:

But this isn’t competition for breeding or genetically controlling the future. That could be understood, I get why some people believe in eugenics and such. Why they want to sterilize certain people and so forth because they only want their kind to go forward or because they think they should manage humanity. That has some perverse logic to it, it is seen in nature. But where’s the horse that kills all the other horses and then itself?

That’s what’s not natural. The desire to kill not just some or even most of the species one belongs to, but kill it off. Make it extinct. That’s what this anti-human religion aims for. It’s a belief that the earth is better off if humans were made extinct. Now maybe this is perversion of breeding competition, but unless this is how nature extincts species I don’t see how it’s natural.

        • B says:

Gail and Jim, I am not referring to anything else but the desire to see humanity wiped off the face of the earth, to save the earth. I don’t think this anti-human movement is an outgrowth of a soviet desire to take over the planet either. Communism, like fascism serves the ruling elite of the USA. So that is all the explanation I need for anti-american and Obama, and so forth. But the anti-human aspect doesn’t work there. Population reduction, eugenics, ok, I see how that can work… but exterminating man kind doesn’t work. It doesn’t even work as a soviet plot. What if someone who hates humanity just decides to accomplish its destruction by pushing the button? It’s not simply anti-american, it’s anti-human. Nobody lives. Everyone dies. Nobody’s genetics go forward. It’s almost biblical, the hatred the devil has for all of man kind.

You did not extend that back to the source.

They have set themselves up as ‘god’ (or ‘gods’) in their own mind and have rendered judgement; hating the real ‘good’ and detesting righteousness which then sows the seeds of envy, greed and pride (defined to be excessive belief in one’s own abilities, that interferes with the individual’s recognition of the grace of God.)

Trace it back to the cast-out from The goE; attaining the knowledge of good evil and choosing the evil … Everything you cite can be based on that at/as the ‘root’.

I’m firmly convinced all of history could be rewritten as the conflict between two subspecies of human–us, the normals or “empaths”, and the 2%–the sociopaths and psychopaths.

For thousands of years they’ve been perfecting techniques of slavery. Methods of mass delusion, dumbing-down, distraction.

They’re a parasitic/predatory sub-species among us; and most people are so naive and trusting they don’t even see them.

Vampire stories are popular for a reason; they’re a palatable fictional casting of a real battle that’s too painful for most people to consciously recognize.

          I have four classes
          Predators
          Parasites
          Producers
Protectors (The producers who see clearly and get irate.)

Unfortunately it is the Predators and Parasites that end up running things because they have no morals.

“Life” magazine; was published weekly from 1883 to 1972 and irregularly thereafter That “LIFE” imprint was their ‘signature’.

Life was a humor and general interest magazine. Time founder Henry Luce bought the magazine in 1936 solely so that he could acquire the rights to its name when it became a weekly news magazine with a strong emphasis on photojournalism.

In the ‘related’ category, “Where Have All the Magazines Gone?”

      LIFE Magazine–Ceased Publication 2000

For the majority of its run, LIFE Magazine was one of the great photojournalism magazines of the United States, capturing many iconic images such as the famous “sailor kissing a nurse” photo from the end of World War II.

LIFE, which began publication weekly in 1936 and switched to a monthly format in 1978, was an early casualty of the Internet publishing age, as the magazine was losing money and Time Warner wanted to relieve itself of its money-losing properties before the merger with AOL in 2001.

I agree it is not natural.

Occasionally you will see animals with a few screws loose. There is a report of an observed wild wolf pack where one of the pups kept viciously attacking the other pups. The Alpha male disciplined the pup several times over the course of days with no change in behavior. Finally the Alpha snapped the pup’s neck and left him lying while he moved the rest of the pack to a new location.

I ran into a weanling horse like that too. Definitely a screw loose. I returned the animal who was sold to another. Shortly after that the animal managed to kill itself. Even too much sugar in the feed can make a horse a real fruit loop. I have one currently who is getting his rations cut. I have to do it every spring when I put him back on grass or he is really obnoxious.

Also you get weird behavior when you over crowd animals or limit the amount of room beyond tolerable limits. For example a zoo introduced a female baboon into a troop of all males. She was killed by the fighting males and then the males fought over who got to keep the body.

So yes you will see weird behavior in animals occasionally but it is self limiting and they die off. With humans we wrap the kids in cotton batting and allow the behavior to mature and “multiply”

Overcrowding of the Human Herd is also known to cause stress and other problems. There is plenty of literature on the psychological frustrations caused by overcrowding.

Remember most of the Progressives are city types while the rural types are more likely to be conservatives.
