President Announces That He Saved The Planet

President Obama pulls off one of his biggest lies of the week. The US almost eliminated carbon pollution (soot) from power plants about 40 years ago, when we they were forced to use electrostatic precipitators.  His CO2 regs will accomplish none of the things he claims it will, but they will damage the economy and costs jobs.

Oh, yes, it’s always for “the children and grandchildren”, as if that excuses any over-the-top statist regulatory, liberty-killing action by Big Gummint.

I’m pretty certain that CO2 has never been identified as an asthma trigger

I’m even more positive that CO2 (let alone “air pollution”) has ever been listed on a death certificate as “cause of death”.

Epidemiologists are in similar league with climate scientists – statistical manipulators and extrapolators who are driven by political agenda.

The mind-bogglingly stupid “precautionary principle” first started within the exposure/risk/health “industry”, under the spectacularly mistaken notion that anything that was bad for you in massive concentrations must be bad for you in miniscule concentrations.

There are thousands of examples. Sunlight, sodium, water, and countless other environmental commodities are absolutely essential for life. But each and every one, in excess, can be fatal.

    That’s life.

  2. Gail Combs says:

President Obama has saved the planet (or he is trying to) by wiping out the most successful civilization on the planet. The rest of his fellow Misanthropes must be ecstatic.

  3. Mike D says:

Hey, this stuff can happen even sooner than for our kids and grandkids. Just look how in this one woman’s lifetime, we see cause and effect:

“I’m at the breaking point,” said Gretchen Gardner, an Austin artist who bought a 1930s bungalow in the Bouldin neighborhood just south of downtown in 1991 and has watched her property tax bill soar to $8,500 this year.

“It’s not because I don’t like paying taxes,” said Gardner, who attended both meetings. “I have voted for every park, every library, all the school improvements, for light rail, for anything that will make this city better. But now I can’t afford to live here anymore. I’ll protest my appraisal notice, but that’s not enough. Someone needs to step in and address the big picture.”

    • inMAGICn says:

      Good grief.

She “voted for every park, every library, all the school improvements, for light rail, for anything that will make this city better.”
Assume that all these things “make this city better” (a stretch), was this artist so ignorant that her property taxes wouldn’t go up considering her voting record?
“[J]ust south of downtown…” Golly. Good location for property value increase. I wonder how much her place is worth?

    • Gail Combs says:

New Hampshire is full of these idiots.

They voted FOR all the Taxachussetts “improvements” then had a hissy fit because their tax bill were so high. So they moved to NH to take advantage of the low tax rates and throw another temper tantrum because NH doesn’t have all the “improvements” that Taxachusetts had.

My sheep are better at connecting the dots then these idiots. WHO the heck do they think PAYS for all the stuff they voted for? Do they go into a store, fill a cart and expect to walk off without paying…. ERRrrrr don’t answer that. (I have run into some who throw hissy fits because they got caught shop lifting. After all the shop keeper has plenty and he doesn’t need all this stuff besides he STOLE it from the WORKERS – Obama said so. And yes I have heard the “Well you weren’t using it so I thought I would take it” excuse too.)

      • B says:

That’s what people do. They migrate because of problems then recreate the problems where they settle. It goes beyond race, social class, economic class, ethnicity, any division one can think of.

        As to the taxes….
“Government is the great fiction through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else.” – Frederic Bastiat, 1848

  4. Andy DC says:

I heard Michelle is thinking of running for the Senate in 2016. All we need, another political dynasty. If we have a black president followed by a bitch president and then a black bitch president, it is all over!

  5. B says:

    Government freezes things.

The unemployment offices, the social security offices, the various fascist agricultural programs… all stuck in the 1930s. The highway departments and auto regulators stuck anywhere from the 1930s to the 1960s depending on when a particular one was started. Government freezes things. They’ve been freezing health care bit by bit over the last century. Monetary policy is stuck in the 1930s.

Thus government cleaning up power plants has a narrative stuck in the early 1970s because that’s when they started doing it.

    • B says:

I forgot the government math. Let’s say for the sake of argument that 98% of the soot was cleaned up decades ago. There’s 2% left. For spending all this money they’ll get a 25% reduction of what’s left. That means another 0.5%.

    • Gamecock says:

      Great analysis, B!

The environmentalists are stuck in the 1960s. For all the effort and all the fortune that has been spent on improving the environment, and all the improvements in the environment, many Libtards think we’re still in the 60s. When smoke stacks don’t smoke, they photoshop them!

Diminishing returns has made most new environmentalist proposals ridiculous, but they drive on regardless. They will never be done until the people say, “Enough, already!”

  6. Ivan says:

“Think about the one we and our children are going to be living in by 2030.”
I do – and it reduces me to tears.

  7. Windsong says:

It is curious that our leaders seem very eager to always speak of “carbon pollution” (like soot) as if we are stuck in the 1950s. It would not take that much extra effort to say “carbon dioxide pollution” (like plant food). Guess plant food isn’t scary enough. Maybe it is not even pollution.

Perhaps one of the late night talkshow hosts could interview random people on the sidewalk and ask, “What is carbon pollution?”

    • Mike D says:

Until right now, I never understood why they switched to “carbon” instead of CO2. Now it makes sense. Even the gullible will not believe that CO2 will increase heart attacks and sick days, and asthma attacks. But “carbon” in the sense of soot is something different. I thought they went to carbon because the CO2 theory was falling apart, but your post has closed the loop. They are intentionally making it vague so that they can make both claims as needed. Either particulates, or CO2.

  8. bullright says:

What we really need is a hubris eliminator. And set it next to the White House…..which should be black by now the way he talks. I want the patent on it. He takes credit for everything and the blame for nothing.

Rothschild asked his defrocked Jesuit lieutenant, Adam Weishaupf to draw up a plan for world domination. He came back with a 25 point strategy:
    1) Control the media.
    2) Ruin the youth through sex & drugs…..
    3) Keep Illuminati ( Freemasons) in power at all levels, local, state, fed.

That’ll keep you out of mischief for a while. 🙂
Spread it far & wide please, people.

    • _Jim says:

NWO much? Seriously, you’re bordering if not straight-away into conspiratorial, ‘Bircher’ brain-numbing stuff … don’t you think that if this NWO stuff had its ‘historic roots’ a long time ago that the powers that be would have kept the Soviet Union INTACT versus allowing its dissolution? Further along those lines, don’t you think that TPTB would have suppressed the internet and our VERY ability to exchange ideas like this?

See, those ‘theories’ of yours don’t hold water when examined just casually even …

      • It’s unfalsifiable from the get-go, however:
If it’s true, it’s hopeless to oppose them.
If it’s false, it’s pointless to waste your time worrying about it.
Therefore you’re better off doing nothing about it, & getting on with cooking dinner & drinking beers.
A sort of Pascal’s Wager in reverse.

        • _Jim says:

The appeal is to rationality, i.e. rational thought, the weighing of two ideas, one ‘ratio-ed’ against another (“IFF TPTB are so powerful WHY did they LOSE one they already had in the bag”). The equivalent of adding ‘mental sand to the gear box’ of the mind of the conspiratorialist. This is not ‘logic’ in the traditional since that won’t work anyway … conspiratorial thinkers will just ‘out think’ you with more inanities.

This has been tried before … see Debate with a Bircher.

      • jdseanjd says:

You’re obviously entitled to your opinions, Jim, but unfortunately logic doesn’t rule in this scenario, for a couple of reasons.
One, it involves people, & people are not logical, not by a long chalk. People work way more on emotion than logic, & if you think World History is proceeding, has proceeded & will proceed on a basis of logic, then you’ve read different histories than me.
Two, the people pushing this agenda are not logical, they are psychopaths.

The Bankster1%s financed Trotsky & Communism, as they financed Hitler & National Socialism, ditto Mao, Pol Pot, all forms of Totalitarian Central Control, & desperately tried to keep them going, as Central control is their ambition.
The USSR & its vassals collapsed under the weight of the inefficiency of central planning.
Just 1 example: manufacturing became so chaotic, & spare parts in such short supply, that tractors had to be guarded at night or they would be raided by neighbouring farmers.

Obarmy has made several attempts to grab control of the internet, but been thwarted.
I just put ‘Obama control’ into google search, just those 2 words, & Obama Control of Internet popped up. I don’t know that situation up to the minute, but I’m convinced that internet control is vital to the ambitions of the 1%s. as per the 1776, 25 point strategy.
There is a book you might be interested in reading on that: “Pawns in the Game” William Guy Carr.

For some appreciation of the 1%s control of the media, watch this 5 min debunking of the biggest lie recently (2001) sold:
        By James Corbett.

& just to show how complicit in this diabolic plot Media & Govts are, try this 8 min video:
OR: Historic Court Case Win Against BBC TV Licensing.
Some points that say it all:
        1) 2 planes cannot cause 3 perfectly controlled demolitions,
        2) Those buildings fell at freefall speed, same as if you’d chuck a brick out a window.
        3) BBC reported fall of building 7, about 23 mins BEFORE it happened. you can see the building over the reporter’s shoulder, as she reports it has already fallen.
        4) Silverstein, the landlord, says they “pulled” ( A Demolition term) building 7.
Tony Rooke won his case in a Brit court, refusing to pay his licence fee, because he said the BBC, having knowledge beforehand, were complicit in this terrorist act.
9/11 was used to sell the “War on Terror”, the Patriot Act, & the consequent loss of liberties & civil rights, & the growth of the encroaching Fascist State, & more than 1 million deaths in Iraq alone.

I’ve put in a good deal of research, if all you’re prepared to do is a casual dismissal, be my guest.

  12. Dougmanxx says:

The whole “public health” meme is completely disingenuous. I had this discussion with one of my friends on Facebook, and he couldn’t, literally COULDN’T believe that Carbon Dioxide doesn’t cause asthma attacks. I gave him links to papers in a variety of journals which all had scary headlines about CO2/Climate Change/asthma, and everyone said the same thing: CO2 is plant food= plants grow better= asthma and allergies are exacerbated due to more allergens. He couldn’t accept that he was arguing against having the planet be MORE productive and grow more plants. He is the head of the County Heath Administration in a nearby County, you’d think he could look at facts. Be he literally couldn’t do it. THAT is the problem.

  13. jdseanjd says:

I tried reading the chaotic & long winded Bircher thing that Jim referenced, & stopped at this delicious piece of nonsense : “One of the most striking tactics that the John Birch Society (JBS) & other conspiracy theorists use on this issue is to overwhelm the opponent with information.”

The very thought, fancy using such a dastardly, underhand & vile thing as accurate information!
Whatever is the World coming to?

Jim could do worse than read a Bircher magazine, The New American :

James, old son, the whole point of this site is to present accurate information, & thereby illuminate the madness of present actions being taken on the basis of false & perverted information.

    Here’s a bit more deadly info :
