As for me, I am going to take a beautiful bike ride through the forest to the gym. Then I am going to ride the other direction to see the fireworks by the lake. Then I am going to see D’Souza’s “America.”
I spent the afternoon enjoying two great soccer matches. Other than my Begonia tipping over, the world is perfect. People need to permanently turn off their television, and permanently tune out neurotic progressives who want everyone else to be as miserable as they are.
It’s just the Liberals that are falling apart. Let them go….we haven’t lost much! LOL!

I haven’t seen a broadcast TV program in 6 years… Ever since I realized it is all lies. It is a nice reminder of what I am not missing when I see all the idiot boxes going when I am at the gym.
Last night, almost 400 people from our neighborhood gathered in our front yard, shared food dishes, ate popsicles and watermelon, passed out glowing red, white and blue bracelets and pooled all their family fireworks into a 45 minute display of color and sound. When it was over, at least 2 dozen of them remained to help clean up. We’ve done a 3rd of July party every year for almost 10 years now, and this was our biggest one so far. We love it. They look forward to it. And it brings us all together. No colors. No races. No creeds. Just Americans. Salon is very wrong.
Gorgeous here in central Indiana. Got my 5′ x 8′ US flag flying and a 3′ x 5′ Don’t Tread On Me under it on my 30′ flag pole though there is not much breeze tonight. Have a good fire going in my fire pit. And a considerable amount of fireworks in the garage awaiting dark to bring them out.

Storm came thru last night; today felt like September. Out riding my Schwinn this AM thru a nearby suburb, the streets were full of walking people. Lots of red, white and blue. Some a little off, like two women with red, white and blue wiener balloons in their hair. I asked, “Y’all having a parade?” Yep! What a great idea! I wish my neighborhood did. Then I saw a fire truck coming down the street. Blowing its horn at everyone. Fantastic!
My son came down from Charlotte this afternoon, and we spent a few hours on a project to make a game board. Two trips to Lowes, some plywood, and three rattle cans of paint, did a great job.
Watched a little of Billy Hurley III at Greenbrier. Watching the Braves on TV this evening.
This is “tragic public derangement?” I see public joy.

Regretfully, I agree with Jim Sleeper’s assessment of public anger because:
1. Climategate exposed government financed deception about AGW.
2. AGW skeptics won the debate, but AGW believers retained the political power.
This divide may not be healed unless skeptics acknowledge that world leaders had legitimate reason to fear Earth might be destroyed in Aug 1945 unless they took totalitarian control of society.

It is in the best interest of everyone to assure world leaders they will not be punished for past deceit if they will now make full disclosure of the events in late August 1945 that convinced them to take totalitarian control of society.

In Red Feather Lakes for the weekend. Crowds of friendly, relaxed and happy people are milling around the village and the concessions stands, browsing and and buying used books at 5 bucks a plastic bag at the library sale. Waiting for the traditional off-July 4th fireworks over Lake Hiawatha. About 50/50 trucks to cars.
The violent Salon progressives either did not make it or came disguised as hunters, campers, old hippies, musicians, unruly kids, moms in red-white-blue and odious book worms. No rage-filled violence erupted so far but I’m keeping an eye on the red-haired kid who wanted to buy something at the stand and mom said no.
