West ,north, and south sides remove old mulch, grade dirt sloped away from the foundation, put down heavy plastic and then 3″ of river rock lined with redish castle rock. Regraveled the drive with hard long lasting limestone called “state 8s”. New security door and wrought iron railing at the front entrance. Took down the aluminum shutters and had them powder coated the same as the door and railing and finally today got railing and shutters installed.

Mine survived the 25 cm of snow and -5C temps last week…i brought them into the garage for safety…

Didn’t have quite as much snow but, yeah, the begonias here needed a fur coat, mukluks, and a knit cap.
The weeds, however, are still doing just fine.
