Looking Past The Shell Game

After each of their spectacular forecast fails, climate experts keep trying to change the rules. But the whole thing started with Hansen’s 1984 paper where he explained how feedbacks were going to destroy the planet.

Hansen predicted that loss of sea ice, particularly in the Southern Hemisphere, was going to lead to 8C warming in the Weddell Sea

Snow /ice feedback.

Ground albedo decrease  also provides a positive feedback. The ground  albedo change (upper panel of Fig. 7) is largely  due to reduced sea ice. Shielding of the ground  by clouds and the atmosphere (middle panel of  Fig. 7) makes this feedback several times smaller  than it would be in the absence of the  atmosphere. However, it is a significant positive  feedback and is at least as large in the Southern  Hemisphere as in the Northern Hemisphere. The  geographic pattern of the temperature increase  (Fig. 4) and the coincidence of warming maxima  with reduced sea ice confirm that the sea ice  effect is a substantial positive feedback.

So how did that turn out? A complete disaster. The Weddell Sea has seen peak sea ice gain and the area has cooled.

Hansen predicted peak warming and sea ice loss in an area which has cooled and seen peak sea ice gain. These people are complete hacks and have absolutely no idea what they are doing.
