Yes, Stalin won WWII and established the UN in OCT 1945 to expand the USSR and prevent public knowledge of the force that creates, sustains and destroys atoms, lives and worlds (including Hiroshima) by using public tax funds to promote these falsehoods as worldwide, consensus science:

      1. Science Disproves Religion
      2. The Standard Climate Model
      3. The Standard Nuclear Model
      4. The Standard Solar Model
      5. Big Bang Cosmology . . .

The paper on “Solar energy” exposes seventy-years (1945 to 2015 = 70 yrs) of falsehoods disguised as tax-supported consensus science:

Here’s a synopsis of the events during a news blackout in AUG-SEPT 1945 after Stalin’s USSR troops captured:

        1. Japan’s atomic bomb plant at Konan, Korea in AUG 1945

        2. The crew of an American B-29 bomber in AUG 1945, and

        3. Held them for negotiations in SEPT 1945, leading to

        4. Formation of the UN in OCT 1945, followed by

        5. Seventy years (1945-2015 = 70 yrs) of falsehoods disguised as consensus science to move society toward UN’s Agenda 21.

  2. You can post this post today, but once the FCC winds up into full operator… Detractors such as you will not be welcome on the Internet! Oh… and “Yes We Can!” At that point, your funding information will not longer be needed to attempt to diminish the truth. You will have to go back to the door-to-door method of getting the word out.

    • omanuel says:

The AMS Director displays a great sense of humor in addressing the “Honorable Member of the US House of Representatives” as Minority Leader!

The arrogant and anything-but-honorable Mr. Grijalva probably swallowed the false teeth behind his false politician’s smile on reading the letter from Dr. Keith L. Seitter.

  3. WillR says:

I thought the members of the AMS were the Witch Hunters in Chief? Can someone explain? …maybe I’m just having a slow day — but still!

    • omanuel says:

      See above comment, WillR.

And yes, gator69, the arrogant APS organization will be the last to realize Stalin sold them their own inflated opinions of themselves in 1945 !

They completely failed to recognize the source of Einstein’s and Planck’s great insight.

  4. gator69 says:

It appears the AMS is the smartest of the scientific societies. For some reason I get a strong feeling that the APS will come in last.

  5. Dave1billion says:

I read a comment about Mann v. the National Review that talked about how they couldn’t wait to uncover the links necessary to file RICO Act charges against the perpetrators and participants in the vast Big-Fossil conspiracy.

I’m not even going to go into my anti-RICO rant, but remember that RICO has been already been used successfully against abortion clinic protestors.

These people are serious about putting the skeptics in jail or financially ruining them. And with empirical evidence continuing to frustrate their predictions it will only get worse.

    • omanuel says:

Relax, dave1billion, and enjoy the classical re-enactment of the show featuring Big Brother’s conflict with Reality !

In the closing scene, Big Brother will learn to recite the prayer of the King of Siam in public:

Instead of reaching for the stars the people of the USA are being trained to be poor intellectually stunted slaves.

Ask yourself this? Where do we go after we have all become ‘Energy Efficient’ and the Elite STILL insist on cutting energy? Do we pattern the USA after Soviet countries where electricity and heat are available only for certain hours of the day?

“Giving society cheap, abundant energy would be the equivalent of giving an idiot child a machine gun.” —Dr. Paul Ehrlich, Anne Ehrlich, and Dr. John Holdren, Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment, 1970, p. 323

“A massive campaign must be launched to de-develop the United States. De-development means bringing our economic system into line with the realities of ecology and the world resource situation.” —Dr. Paul Ehrlich, Anne Ehrlich, and Dr. John Holdren, Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment, 1970, p. 323

      >>>>>>

Mean while the local coop just showed up to force us to ‘up-grade’ to a SMART METER’
We HAVE TO get a new meter. If we ‘Opt-out’ we pay an instillation fee plus $30 a month.

The coop is lying through their teeth about the whole mess. First they say the $30 is because they have to drive out to read the meter. That is a complete lie. NC is allowing Duke to charge people an installation charge PLUS $360 a year to force us to comply with the move towards Sustainability aka Agenda 21.

When we ask “Why do we need a new meter?” Again all we are offered are LIES. They say the reason is so the electric company can detect power outages more easily. That is total BS. It is so the Duke can turn off the electric of the peons while leaving on the electric of the IMPORTANT customers.

Although the information has since been disappeared from the internet. The following is the real reasons:

#1. The smart meter allows the Energy company to charge a much much higher rate during peak use time. This is to herd people into a “More Sustainable Life Style”

#2. “With smart meters, CenterPoint Energy is proposing to add a process prior to shutting down whole circuits to conduct a mass turn off of individual meters with 200 amps or less (i.e. residential and small commercial consumers) for 15 or 30 minutes, rotating consumers impacted during that outage as well as possible future outages.”
Energy InSight FAQs – (WWWDOT)centerpointelectric.com/staticfiles/CNP/Common/SiteAssets/doc/Smart%20Grid%20FAQs%20complete%20081612.pdf [This has since been updated to give the same propaganda as Duke Energy is putting out]

Instead of telling us the truth we get: “You’ve probably heard this updated grid called “the smart grid” or “grid modernization” – but no matter what it’s called, what matters most is how it will serve you better…..Many customers will have more insight on their energy usage, and tools that will help them curb their energy use and save costs on their monthly bill.” (Barf, Gag)

      DUKE ENERGY:

Smart, digital technologies – combined with in-home energy management systems, new energy efficiency programs, improved communication tools and customer-sited renewable energy sources like rooftop solar panels – will benefit our customers, our company and the environment.
      * Customers will have tools and information to better understand their energy usage and manage their monthly energy bills.

      * Smart appliances and plug-in vehicles will be integrated with the power grid. We will have more precise information about outages than we have today, which will help us respond faster to restore service. [So the power company can turn off your stove or freezer or furnace whenever they wish]

      * We’ll be able to detect and solve problems quickly, prevent and shorten outages, and improve service, reliability and power quality for customers.

      * Our power delivery system will communicate system-wide to make micro-adjustments, if needed, to balance our energy load and help reduce our need to buy or generate extra, more expensive power to meet customer demand.
      http://www.duke-energy.com/about-us/smart-grid-faq.asp

And just to underline WHY they need this made in Hades ‘Smart Grid’
GREENVILLE NC — Duke asks customers to reduce energy use

“Through Friday, the forecasted temperatures will be consistently below freezing and will challenge our system because customers will be using more energy,” Nelson Peeler, Duke Energy vice president of transmission system operations, said in a release….

Duke recommends that customers reduce thermostats to the lowest comfortable setting, turning off unnecessary lighting, postponing household chores that require electrical appliances, unplugging chargers for mobile devices and operating ceiling fans in a clockwise direction to push warm air down…..

Now Duke Energy is spreading its propaganda to our class rooms:

        • Gail Combs says:

          After looking at:

          1. Smart Meters and the future control of our home appliances;
          2. The Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC)recommendation that America Should Adopt a ‘Plant-Based’ Diet intervention and electronic monitoring of how long Americans sit in front of the television or computer; link
          3. NSA collecting all our e-mails, phone calls…;
          4. Medical personnel under Obummercare data mining our creditcard and other data to determing our dietary, excercise (and reading) habits.
          5. Anti-Occupy law negating the freedom to protest;
          6. Anti-free speech ‘Hate Speech laws’ and a campaign to eradicate “microaggressions,” or small social slights that might cause searing trauma;
          7. The propaganda spewing mass media and now Net Neutrality;
          8. Indefinite Military Detention without communication, evidence or trial;
          9. The Food Modernization Act taking away our right to grow food.
          10. The UN/USA targeting of water rights (some NC counties put water meters on private wells.)
          11. The arming of US bureaus and the Militarization of the Police, not to mention the collection of local police under Homeland Security.
          12. The UN/IPCC coming right out and saying communism is the best form of government for ‘saving the planet’
          13. Pascal Lamy saying outright the decision was made in the 1930s and agreed to by FDR to do away with US sovereignty.

I would say we very much are slaves with the last of our freedoms heading down the drain very very fast.

    • Gail Combs says:

And yes I am correct that time-based rates programs, including time-of-use, critical peak pricing, and peak-time rebate programs. will eventually be implemented to shape consumer behavior.

Integrated Smart Grid Provides Wide Range of Benefits in Ohio and the Carolinas

Smart meters and distribution management system upgrades also allowed Duke to pilot time-based rates programs, including time-of-use, critical peak pricing, and peak-time rebate programs. Though customer participation was low, the new technology positions Duke to implement similar programs as social, regulatory, and market landscapes change in the future.

Duke’s 966,000 smart meters each have remote and off-cycle meter reading capabilities, remote connect/disconnect (residential only), tamper detection, and outage diagnostics features that allow the utility to “ping” meters and determine where power is out.

While Duke encountered opt-out requests during the meter deployment, personal contact with individual customers, local leadership, regulatory staff, and legislative leaders, helped defuse the opt-out issue for the majority of the deployment timeframe.
[In other words Duke’s PROPAGANDA was successful]

The US government bluntly states they want CONTROL OF YOUR HOUSE!

The Department of Energy Report 2009

A smart grid is needed at the distribution level to manage voltage levels, reactive power, potential reverse power flows, and power conditioning, all critical to running grid-connected DG systems, particularly with high penetrations of solar and wind power and PHEVs…. Designing and retrofitting household appliances, such as washers, dryers, and water heaters with technology to communicate and respond to market signals and user preferences via home automation technology will be a significant challenge. Substantial investment will be required….

These controls and tools could reduce the occurrence of outages and power disturbances attributed to grid overload. They could also reduce planned rolling brownouts and blackouts like those implemented during the energy crisis in California in 2000.

This is even more revealing and nasty — Visions of Bastiat’s Broken Window Fallacy anyone? How long before we will be forced to buy new ‘Smart’ appliances or retrofits?
Smart Meters, an attractive opportunity for Investors

      Executive Summary
We see an attractive long-term secular trend for investors to capitalize on over the coming 20–30 years as today’s underinvested and technologically challenged power grid is modernized to a technology-enabled smart grid. In particular, we see an attractive opportunity over the next three to five years to invest in companies that are enabling this transformation of the power grid. Similar to trends in the telecommunications industry, we expect this upgrade process to be evolutionary rather then revolutionary. As such, we think investors need to take a long term view when evaluating the sector.

By focusing on this segment of the market, which we believe could be as large as $8 billion annually in the next 5–10 years, we are branching out our coverage into areas that allow utilities to use their existing legacy networks more efficiently,….

…..We believe that the demand response solution providers will have a big role to play in this evolution of the smart grid. ….

In the following, we describe commonly used demand response programs in the United States in greater detail.

Direct Load Control (DLC): DLC programs refer to those in which a utility or system operator remotely shuts down or cycles a customer’s electrical equipment on short notice
to address system or local reliability contingencies in exchange for an incentive payment or bill credit. DLC has been in operation for at least 20 years. A variety of utilities developed and deployed large programs in the late 1960s and expanded them significantly in the 1980s and 1990s. According the 2006 Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) survey, Florida Power & Light has implemented the largest program with 740,570 customers.

The most common form of DLC is a program that cycles the operation of appliances such as air conditioners or water heaters. Typically, a one-way remote switch or digital control receiver is connected to the condensing unit of an air conditioner or the immersion element in a water heater. By remotely switching off the load at the appliance, peak loads can be reduced. Typical demand reductions are in the 1kW area for air conditioners and 0.6kW for heaters. The switch is operated through radio signals (for older systems) or digital paging. Depending on the duty cycle selected, the switch turns off the condensing unit or element for the full duration of an event or for various fractions of an hour (e.g., 15 minutes off during an hour). DLC programs also typically limit the number of times or hours that the customer’s appliance can be turned off per year or per season. ….

In addition, remote control of individual appliances is being supplanted by remote control of smart, or programmable, communicating thermostats in recently implemented programs. During the summer, the utility or program operator can remotely adjust the temperature upward to reduce demand. After an event, the temperature setting is reset to the customer- specified level….

      • Chris Barron says:

“Designing and retrofitting household appliances, such as washers, dryers, and water heaters with technology to communicate and respond to market signals and user preferences via home automation technology will be a significant challenge. Substantial investment will be required….”

How can you possibly complain about something as obvious as this ?

Do you want power outages ? You will have them more and more….why ? Because you want limitless access to limitless amounts of electricity….yet all along the way when any politician suggested that the grid could do with some public money to reinforce it, nobody wanted to put their hands in their pockets.

That is the mentality which guarantees that a resource will run out inconveniently quickly.

Adding smart technology to your washing machine which will mean that instead of it starting it’s wash cycle when you press start it gets delayed 3 or 4 minutes isn’t going to inconvenience you very much, if at all, and is likely going to add no more than a few dollars to the sticker price.

Or go on with the power cuts if you prefer……but when the kids ask why the world is so rubbish don’t try telling them about corruption in politics as if you’re doing them a favour, because they’ll only be concerned with what you haven’t done to fix it

There’s too many chiefs, and too many nimby’s too

      DUKE ENERGY GRANTS:
“Duke Energy, an investor-owned utility, is one of the largest electric power companies in the United States.”

Duke Energy extended a $10 million loan to Obama’s re-election convention committee.

However Duke did not leave the Republicans out. North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory worked for Duke Energy for almost 30 years. Analysis by Democracy North Carolina, shows McCrory received over $300,000 in direct campaign contributions from Duke-Energy related donors during his 2008 and 2012 gubernatorial races. The Republican Governors Association, which spent over $10 million supporting McCrory’s bid, also received around $760,000 from Duke.

      That loan paid back handsomely.

Duke Energy Receives $22 Million Federal Grant for Wind Power Storage

Duke Energy intends to match a $22 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to design, build and install large-scale batteries to store wind energy at one of its wind farms in Texas.

” Duke Energy Corp. has received a stimulus award of $200 million for “smart-grid” improvements in Ohio and Indiana. It’s part of a package of $3.4 billion in stimulus allocations announced Tuesday by the Obama administration. (2009)

Duke was among 100 entities to receive Smart Grid Investment Grants…”

Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act),

“the U.S. Department of Energy and the electricity industry have jointly
      invested over $7.9 billion
in cost- shared Smart Grid Investment Grant projects to modernize the electric grid, strengthen cybersecurity, improve interoperability, and collect an unprecedented level of data on smart grid and customer operations. “

Under the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Smart Grid Investment Grant (SGIG) program, six utilities evaluated operations and customer charging behaviors for in-home and public electric vehicle charging stations: [What an utter waste of money]

      Burbank Water and Power (BWP)
      Duke Energy (Duke)
Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL)
      Madison Gas and Electric (MGE)
Progress Energy (now part of Duke Energy as a result of a merger in 2012)
      Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD)

Duke Energy, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, provides electric service to 7.2 million electric customers……
Duke’s SGIG project has a total budget of almost $556 million, including DOE funding of $200 million. The project includes Duke
deployment of advanced metering infrastructure, communications networks, and systems for meter data management; more than 1 million smart meters; customer systems such as in-home displays, web portals, and time-based rate programs; distribution automation equipment such as automated feeder switches, capacitors, and line monitors; and residential and commercial electric vehicle charging stations in North and South Carolina and Indiana.

    • Gail Combs says:

A separate 2010 grant??? Duke was implementing Smart Grids in more than one sector so it is possible.

Duke Energy Reaches Agreement with DOE to Accept $204 Million in Stimulus Funds to Support Grid Modernization — May 13, 2010

Duke Energy has finalized an agreement with the Department of Energy for $204 million in stimulus funds to support smart grid projects in the company’s five-state service territory.

The DOE funds will support two projects: $200 million — the maximum allowed per project under the DOE Smart Grid Investment Grant Program — will assist in modernizing Duke Energy’s power distribution system; $4 million will support the installation of digital equipment on the transmission system in the Carolinas.

Both projects will save or create new jobs and stimulate the economy.

“With this stimulus money, Duke Energy looks forward to maintaining its leadership role in modernizing the electric grid and helping to revitalize the nation’s economy,” said Gianna Manes, Duke Energy senior vice president and chief customer officer. “Smart grid technology is essential to achieving energy efficiency while creating significant employment opportunities.”

Duke Energy expects to save or create approximately 1,000 jobs as it modernizes its grid system in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and the Carolinas.

Duke Energy plans to spend $1 billion over the next five years to deploy smart grid technology in its service territory. Deployment includes digital and automated technology such as smart meters, distribution automation equipment, and communications infrastructure.

The proposed Lee Nuclear plant on the other hand has been placed on the back burner and now Duke plans to go with Natural Gas (Shell Oil anyone?)

Federal licensing for proposed nuclear plants has been delayed by a court decision that requires the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to reconsider its current position on long-term waste disposal. That means Duke is unlikely to get its license to build and operate the plant until 2016.

Yep, that whole house standby natural gas fueled air cooled diesel generator looks better all the time with the prices coming down all the time. Less than $5,000 installed for my needs. Electricity on demand if the power blacks or browns out and it kicks on automatically in less than 10 seconds. First will come changing the stove and water heater from electric to gas and then a 14 Kw unit will do everything including A/C.
